Got a xbox ally X on FB market yesterday for $500. Search around you will find a good deal. Before market take over this and we have to pay premium for this handhelds

Legion GO is a good deal heavier and a little more unwieldy but it isn't a bad system.
ROG Ally has a USB 3.2 port and a little special connector for an Asus external GPU. Legion GO has a USB 4 port and will connect to a Thunderbolt 3 external GPU.
I think the ROG Ally has a fingerprint sensor so you can set up Windows to unlock with that if you end up using it like a portable computer. Legion GO doesn't have that option.
Both of these units can run on Steam OS

Burning microsd card slot issue + crippled proprietary port that locks out thunderbolt 4 port for their stupid proprietary port for their expensive eGPU, no thanks

Maybe at $200-300, I'm consider it

The AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme (my deal) is roughly 25% to 50% faster in gaming compared to the standard Z1 (woot's deal), depending on the title and thermal limits. The Extreme model boasts significantly more graphics compute units (12 vs. 4) and extra CPU cores.
