This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Good luck with the job hunt! I know it's tough out there but I am sure your persistence will pay off soon!

Shoot, with a 3 month old I have completely lost all my time and my mind. I am luCky to squeeze a 30-45 min nap and he is cranky as all get out in between. I try to soothe him back down to stretch his naps out, but he just isn't having it. My days are in 1/2 hour increments Frown
I know! Seriously! If Evan is content for a *couple* of minutes, I think of all I can get done in that amount of time. Shoot, I took a shower (with him in the doorway), rotated laundry and unloaded the dishwasher this morning in about 7 minutes flat. If only I could motivate to do stuff like that all the time!

Teri, It is obvious that you are SO well-liked and revered on this board. I know it must be hard right now and I can only imagine what is going on but everyone on TCC is behind you 100%! Grouphug Grouphug

I had a (STFC) run today (I think) I dont even know what the acronym means but I *think* it's a good thing! Kinda circled around until felt comfortable with the cashier selection (this was 9:30 this morning) and saw a young boy open an express lane. He motioned me over and I apologized for having a lot more than 10 items. He shrugged and said come on through! Well, he was great! He did mention that using coupons was like "getting away with highway robbery" (in a good way) and that he was so impressed that I was talented in matching up my cpns with the right items. I said, what that isn't normal? He said no, there are always alert messages and beeps when people come through his line...I said, yep I try to make it easy by always getting exactly what is on the coupon!! Roll

My big Little Guy is turning 2 Frown on November 30 and we are having a party at this place called Moonwalk Adventures http://moonwalkadv.com/lansing.htm, anyways has anyone had a party at a place with jumpers and bounce inflatable thingies? My son had a blast when I took him there the other day but I am worried that it won't be fun, someone will get hurt etc.

Also, I dont think we are going to be doing a particular theme so I am not sure of what to do about gift bags. I was thinking a sippy cup and _________. I am at such a loss! Any advice?

Lessee...too young for Durex, so that's out.

How about Glade? Wait, they might think it's candy.

Secret deodorant?

Chex Mix?

Sheba?

Friskies?

Pounce?

The possibilities are endless!

Both great ideas!! I dont have many HW cars left since DS found them and opened a *couple* for play on his train table, but I am sure I can find something. I definitely have a lot of playdoh. I think I am going to ask if the people coming celebrate christmas and give them each a Santa Spud. Scratchhead

thanks for getting the creative juices flowing. Now, INAA, you gave me some ideas for the adults LMAO

Is anyone familiar with the B2G1 starbucks that are 512000700762? I got some in the mail today and they dont expire until March. PM me!

Well, I have yet to take a shower today...when I put him down for naps I scurry to get school, moving, misc paperwork done, laundry, eat, dishes (maybe) and a little puter time. I normally wait until someone else is here with me so he doesn't wake up screaming his head off (like he always does). BTW, I thought this colic crap ended or at least got better at around 3 mos. I would have to say he's cried the majority of the time he's been up today. He needs a baby sleep aid. No matter how hard I try to get him back down when he wakes up he fights it and stays awake...fussing and crying. How young is too young to let them CIO? Hide Kidding!

Where is the coupon trading thread? I have some of the glade bogo refill coupons I would like to trade for the $2.00 off glade candle holder ones. I have the ones that came out of the packages with the longer expiration dates not the newspaper ones. I thought since the value of the refills is up to $3.49 on some to $3.99 on others or more at Target that I would trade one each for 2 of the $2.00 off ones. If interested please pm me.

Thrifty: Have you let him sleep on his tummy? I know the whole back to sleep campaign is prominent and I am a believer in it as well, but about 2 weeks ago, I started letting DS sleep on his tummy for naps only and they got a lot longer and restful for him. 5 days ago, I let him sleep through the night like that (of course me checking on him every hour) and he is sleeping a lot better/longer. I dont know, you might already be doing that, but thought I would mention it Smilie

And yes, I do hear it gets a lot better after 12 wks old...just maybe not right after Wink

I'm not a Target shopper, but I have two $5/50 cards that I got in the mail. Is it okay to offer them here?

They do say "intended for use by the original recipient only", and expire 11/30, but it's so wasteful to throw them away!

TAKEN!

I always bought my appointment calendar at the Dollar Spot around this time of year. They're about 8x10 in book form (although a very thin book!) with one month on a two-page when the book is open. It doesn't look like T is going to have them this year. $1 was such a great price for them. Anyone have any ideas as to where to find one for 2010?

Just a thought I'm throwing out there - is there any possibility he has allergies? My sister's LO was super-fussy, and turns out he had multiple food allergies (she was breastfeeding at the time) that was causing his fussiness and also his eczema. Anyway, just thought I'd make that suggestion. Big Grin Once they figured out his allergies and she altered her diet, he gradually became a much more well-adjusted baby, and now, he's a sweetie pie. She quit breastfeeding at about 9 months, which was amazing, because she cut out wheat, dairy, soy, nuts, eggs, and beef from her diet. OMG I would never have made it that long!! But now he's 13months and doing great. Still allergic to beef, eggs, dairy and wheat, but they are hopeful that he will outgrow those.

Try the Dollar Tree or Dollar General Store. They always have things like this.

We did a party @ one of those places for dd's 2nd bday last month. While she and the other kids had a blast I was disappointed. I was told it was a private party, thinking my party only, but there were 2 other parties booked @ the same time. We had a bunch of 2-6 yr olds and these parties where 10-12 years old running around doing back flips, etc and not watching out for the little kids.
