This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Wave

No T today for me. Spent the day with my mom and sis, and the evening with my DD. NO SHOPPING EEK! well, not exactly no shopping. I did go to the whole foods store and dropped a small fortune. But, I got some things I need and the only thing they had that I could use a q on was Muir Glen (of which I found booklets w/ 1.00 MfG q's). All the reading about diets and supplements has my head spinning. Tomorrow, I hit up T for a hopefully windshield run and to find a juicer so that I can make carrot juice vomit

Experiences with Delta?? They are $72 cheaper PER PERSON to fly home than Southwest is. We always fly southwest but with 6 of us, that adds up. I have a lot of southwest gift cards that will cover some of the cost, but then again, I could ebay if I wanted to and use that cash to pay for Delta no problem. I just hate paying THAT much more even if it is in gift cards!!

I know I have to pay $15 per bag.. we only have 3.. so its still a lot cheaper even with the baggage fee. I like with Southwest if the price drops, we can get a credit.. but if I book with Orbitz, I can do the same thing. Thanks for any input.. its not like I leave in 27 days and dont have return flights.. they were $104 each way and I didnt have enough in gift cards to buy them.. the next day they went up almost $60 a ticket! STUPID me!

My FIL worked for Delta for 30 years. They are OK. We used to fly them exclusively and still do as non-revenue standby passengers whenever our travel plans are flexible but I think they are overpriced and understaffed since the merger w. Northwest. They are extremely rigid if you try and make any changes to your reservation. Just FYI

did find peelies (new to me) .40 off BC cookie mix- these will work/double nicely at Giant Eagle for the 1.00 pumpkin cookie mix / buy 4 get 1 free Wilton cake pan deal.
Oh man... What kind of cake pans and for how long? We don't have a Giant Eagle, but maybe I can convince my family in Ohio to go get in on the deal!

So... is it bad when the Wags cashier asks if you work for Walgreens, or worse when you admit that you don't (you just happen to know they system inside out!!)

I was the bug at Wags today. *sigh* Part of it was just not being mentally prepared, and then doing the dumb thing and taking a cranky toddler and teen with me. Makes me want to bang my head against the wall sometimes.

The funny thing is that I did really well considering what the average joe does - I mean, I spent wayyyyyyy more than planned (stupy coupys that weren't programmed & way annoying weirdo cashiers) - but came out with lots of stuff we need (baking, foodstuffs, etc...) and the soda hubby has been begging for (why is it easier to spend $$ on him, but not on myself?!) Also got enough neosporin to coat every inch of skin we have each day for 6 months, and enough clearasil to do the same... go figure... And it still cost less cash oop than if I'd gone to the grocery store. And yet... I want to complain. LOL.

I found out that the grand re-opening of our local(ish) Kroger is having a special where you get $30 for transferring an RX. One (thankgoodness) of hubby's meds is on the $4 Rx list!! So I'm going to spend $4.00 cash and profit back $26! I think with that and the small gc's I got from the mega sale - I'll be good for foodstuffs - if nothing else, definitely for Thanksgiving!! Now I need to stalk the battery coupons too... There's a sale at Kroger that I want to take part in! We've actually used or given away all our free rayovacs from last year.

At ST, I *thought* I was getting a good deal on some ground beef - marked at $2.00 each and minus .50 beef coupon, rang up way more - almost 4.00 each! GRRR... didn't notice until too late to go back, and I think it was one of those "gotta get rid of this stuff" TPCs. Same with some overripe bananas - supposed to be .19/lb, but got charged .48. Oh well... guess I'll make banana bread and deal with it. The ground beef better be good too - I don't think I have EVER IN MY LIFE paid that much for ground beef per pound (or a steak!!!)

I was a windshield today though, so that was great. A lady behind me saw the glade tins and remarked how utterly adorable they were (I disagree, but whaddo I know??) I told her about the gc deal and she was soooo excited. She watched the rain-x drip off me today and was like EEK! lol...

It felt nice. Smilie

Hey Guys - anyone know of any codes for discounts or coupons that are out there for Southwest Airlines? Actually I don't really care what airline ... my bro who lives in Sunny D has just found out that he and his job are parting ways Frown He doesn't think he can afford to come home for Christmas ... this is the one chance a year I get to see him & he gets to see the kids and everyone ... so I am trying to see if I can swing his trip at all! I am trying to figure out the cheapest way for him to fly.

I don't have a Kmart so I can't do the deals y'all talk about getting SW giftcards from there ... unless someone who has a Kmart CAN do them and is willing to trade Target Giftcards for them? But I am just trying to see what I can do - ---- any thoughts y'all have would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

HUGS - D

I have decided to crack the whip, I am no longer bring home free crap that is just free and that no one in my family of 7 + 2 inlaws uses and sometimes have to pay tax on.

I had 2 sets of great runs this weekend to Lowes Foods, Wags and Food Lion. At lowes I got in on 2 rebates that make my entire runs money makers. Kelloggs has speacially marked bonus cereal buy 3 get $10 rebaTE - it was on sale for $2.99 plus I had a $1 mfq! plus buy 2 cereals get a free toy story cereal bowl did that twice with 2 other boxes on sale for $2,50. Totals Then Keebler had $10 toy voucher rebate wyb 5 marked boxes of xmas cookies. They were on sale for $2.50 each with .55c peelies on them and the store doubles mfqs, got 10 boxes at $1.40 ec get back $20

Then made $$$ at Wags, for the 1st time the $5/$25 worked in combo w/ Qs for no oop. Then Food Lion is SCO, so all kinds of creative couponing there. Yay me! and Yay for stocking the freezers and pantry! and Yay for overage at the grocery!
JEALOUS!! LOL I want to have a grocery store where I can have overage Frown LMAO Hows the little one and your family? Great I hope!! HUGS and great couponing day out Smilie

Anepu - 4BB is right this is the place where I come with my mommy woes, whether everyone likes it or not. This group is a wealth of info and has given me the support I need when I'm having good and bad days.

Spent the day with both kiddos. I heart the weekends!!! Mini is such a big help with him! I think she smothered him with kisses today. We watched her HS v-ball team (on tv) play for the state championship. They won!!! She was sooooo excited and so was I as it is my alma mater! I guess the team is ranked 15th in the nation. We then discussed how she didn't make the team. She said it's because she sucks. I told her you are very good but are only as good as your experience and coaching. These girls obviously play v-ball year round. We're gonna get her back on a team at the Y as soon as the next season starts up.

Oh and she told me about this hilarious video clip. You just have to see Mini when she's telling stories, she's soooooooo animated! When I'm on the puter I'll put up a linly.

Oh and my baby girl came and snuggled with me on the loveseat...well she laid on top of me and snuggled!

Flugette - I think your right on LJ having another food allergy. His extra cranky days have been when I had a soy latte. Well, I had limited if no soy consumption up until I moved here. Stupy T only had vanilla almond milk so I got soy and have been drinking that for 2 weeks. Well whaddaya know poor LJ has grren dipes and a diaper rash and the spots on his face have reappeared. Thankfully not as bad as last time (yet). So, no more soy. And I had that killer $2 MQ for it. My mom and I were talking and I said what if he has further allergies like gluten, etc. She said well you just eliminate it from you diet...then took a drink of beer. I then said beer has gluten. She turned to LJ and said if you were my kid you'd be SOL. Roll

Got coupons clipped and semi organized. Neither of us had any energy left to make a run so we'll go tomorrow.

Oh and INAA & Bronc - GO BIG RED!!!!! Sorry about your bad luck! Comfort
Awww sounds like a great day!! I think no matter how old they are it feels great to have them just hang around and snuggle with you Smilie HUGS!!

I have never tried to price match, but I thought most places, as a rule, don't do price adjustments on Black Friday. Maybe ask at customer service? Make it seem like to want to buy something soon and are worried it might go on sale on Black Friday...
