i was reading MUA and did you guys know that it's not good to put avobenzone and octinoxate together? supposedly avobenzone is unstable and a lot of things can set it off (zinc oxide too!). i've been trying to get away from chemical sunscreens altogether just because -- i didn't know that they actually react with each other sometimes!

what are you going to use it for? hair? face? body?

i've been using jojoba for face. it hasn't been amazing or bad. i've always suspected my skin liked oils but i'm scared at the same time.

when it breaks down i think it stops being effective. i'm not sure if other worse things happen.

avobenzone is also one that some say is to be avoided when pregnant. it's an endocrine blocker or something...? i didn't know this. sunscreens are scary!

I boughtthis clutch [express.com] when express coupon mania was going on and received many compliments on it. couple of my lady friends asked me if it was some designer brand. I think It also goes well with black as well as grey shaded dresses. Yellow stands out but not in a bad way IMHO.

Sorry for late reviews but I just saw it while packing my stuffs for vacay.
Liggy highly recommends it Coverlaugh I would say it is worth the price even without coupon. But with coupon it will be a sweet deal. The best past is it has big inner zip compartment, not only it looks pretty it is very functional too.

My rewards just came in. Whee I think I'll save them hoping to get DH some boat shoes, if they stock more in time.

DH is gone to Express to exchange that dress. They didn't have a 4. He had to get a 2. I'm afraid it will be too small. What are my options, if it won't fit?

Quote from nerdicus :
:iagr ee: about others making up for our express deals.

i am awful with jewelry also. i find i can't stand to wear them, so i mostly just wear a simple necklace and now my wedding band and sometimes engagement ring. sometimes i only wear the band (i like it by itself) and the ring goes on my necklace.

i :heart colored bottoms and wish more of them looked nice on me! i tried the stella sateen jeggings in store (clearance 29.99) and they all squished my butt, but otherwise fit. : ( i haven't tried the colored jeans but i'm not too hopeful. i prefer my colored pants to not be denim for some reason. i did pick up another pair of eva shorts (in green! :w hee: ) from vs clearance awhile back. i wore the blue ones a lot last summer so i figure it'd be good to have another.
I don't wear a lot of jewelry either. My rings are the only thing I wear daily. Most of the time I only wear other jewelry, when I'm getting dressed up.

I like colored pants/jeans too. I just feel like I look too flashy in them, so I won't wear them. I really should get over that. The Eva shorts are great. I have quite a few pair of those.

Quote from azn1x6flame :
You sound like me! Except, I have lots of colors, just not neon colors. I always opt for at least one item in black, but then in the summer, I ask myself why I have so many summery black colored tops. :sha ke: All my dresses are solid colored and single colored. Maybe they'll be color blocked or something, but that's also a rarity!

You probably need to find the right shade of purple. Some purple I look great in, others I look deathly.

I just don't like costume jewelry because it's a waste of money. They all tarnish, so I'm better off getting the real deal :n od:
I look okay in purple & have a few purple tops. Purple makes green eyes pop. It's colored jeans that I have a problem. As I replied above, I feel like I'm saying "look at me", when I wear them. I know I'm Crazy.

Quote from CrazyCatJade :
Awww, no - I didn't mean things really suck - I just hate going to the gym :l ol: I realllllly hate it. It's rather humiliating to watch everyone in such good shape while I am all fat and blobby and sweaty and nasty :bl eh:

At least I am going I guess...

Hope you are doing well!!!

:hu g:
Everybody has to start somewhere. hug I guarantee no one is thinking you look fat & blobby. You go to the gym to sweat. You should feel good about going.

Quote from nerdicus :
it was popular before? :l ol: i had no idea. it does seem perfect for your body type. :n od: you should stock up!

i think my waist needs to be about 2" smaller for peplums to look good on me. i don't have an hourglass figure and i think they're best for those who do.
Yeah, I'm old enough to remember the previous version of most trends. shake head I used to have quite a few peplum tops & dresses way back when.

Quote from nerdicus :

thanks again for the coffee bean tip btw! i just placed another order on their site - the red velvet is oos, but there's a winter dream latte set that's 1/2 off and i've been meaning to get one of their vanilla powders again for those times i feel like having sweet coffee. free shipping code: shiptoday. yes, it's not a great deal but i like the winter dream tea also, and that container still goes for 8.45 so i figure it's a deal!
Now, I'm debating ordering this. Embarrassment Do you have any ideas how many calories are in the tea & powder?

the girl that does my facials mentioned something about sunscreen being bad or something.

i feel like we frequent the same places. i'll bet i've seen you in passing before! laugh out loud

DH thinks i'm on sd too much. he gets jealous sometimes, when we're chatting or watching tv together and i take out my phone to see what y'all are up to. laugh out loud that's why i'm not on at night as much. he also has to remind me that sometimes i need to let a good deal go.

i'm not a fan of new years resolutions personally. i feel like i stick better to resolutions when i am ready to apply them, not when the calendar says i should. but to really end the return/rebuy phenomenon, i would need to stop shopping at express. due to their pricing strategies, there is always a better deal. it makes us work for it.

i tried the winter dream latte during that holiday special. i get chai lattes at sbux all the time (virtually every day) so i am sure i would like the CB version also. it's just so far from me - i hate having to drive. i missed the 50th anniversary thing bc i forgot about it and already went to sbux for my afternoon caffeine kick - i thought 3x a day would be too much. laugh out loud
laugh out loud I wouldn't be surprised. It's a (s) mall world! I guess New Years serve as a good reminder for self reflection. Resolutions should come anytime you realize something that could be better Smilie

My DBf and I use our iPads side to side haha he surfs his forums and I do with mine! Sort of unhealthy though. Don't talk as much as we should!

You're right...if you keep stalking prices, return/rebuy is unavoidable. It's in our SD nature!

My shopping drives dh and ds crazy. I try to go when I'm not with them. I will want to go this weekend. My bday is coming up so those boys better be nice to me about it laugh out loud!

I like forever 21 much better for spring and summer clothes. I like their sundresses and tanks! The one on Michigan Ave is pretty awesome. The stuff doesn't forever like it does at the local mall.
I think I get more done by myself too. No one dragging their feet! People say I walk fast (prob cause they expect me to be slow with my short legs n all!)

I only buy blazers at h&m on sale n with the free wrapp gc! Forever 21 is definitely overpriced for their quality. I don't think the one at Santa Anita is that great. There's a lot of space but not as much inventory as you'd expect for a store that size!

F21 has too many sections all with diff looks n trends. I always exceed limits when going to the fitting room! I hate how they usually only have one fitting room too....so the pile you want to try gets in the way of looking at even more stuff as ur making ur way there

anyway, i'm glad porda brought this to my attention so i can stop looking at editor pants and start looking at columnist! and we must be the same size - the 2 is a bit loose but would be my size while the 0 is tight.

i tried on some clearance stella leggings in green in 2 and they were super unflattering. i also found a white cord pair in 4 and tried those - they were about 2 inches too large around the waist. Frown but tight around the legs. guess those are going back...
. . .
I've been wearing the 0's around the house after dinner and they're already loosening up Wink2 . I picked up the green leggings you speak of during the $20 pricing mistake and after looking at many photos, they are def unflattering. I see them on all my clearance racks too and see that others realized this, but not me Embarrassment

I think it's a cute dress too. I bought it. We'll see how it looks in person.
I bought it too!

got my first express order yetserday! Love the tops, but oh so sad there was no $15 coupon in thereFrown They did however include 2 of one top, that i only ordered 1 of.
If your tops were on clearance, don't forget to call in and get a price adjustment! (14-day window from ordering date)

Quote from ALVSGIRLY :
krusty - im so mad at myself. i ordered $200 in clearance and forgot an accessory Facepalm.
I did the same thing last night Head Bang

Quote from Cheapeats :

When one of my old friends was about to get married one of her supposed bridesmaids asked me where I had gotten my outfit from and when I told her it was JCpenney's she actually replied "You look like you would shop at JCpenney's" and laughed.
. . .
Jawdrop "So funny, I was just thinking you seemed like the kind of classless b- that would say something like that" I have a fantastic dress from Penney's.... Originally $120, I got it for $15. One of the best-made dresses I have! What a turkey.
