That top is big too. Tried it long time ago in store. Are you remembering to add the accessory?

Is there any you recommend? I normally just shop nordstom or nordstrom rack b&m and buy most online.

Shoe shopping is depressing when you can hardly find your size Frown.

Bebe has free shipping and 50% off select sale items.
size 4 is really tough. I'm glad you are able to find shoes at nordstrom n rack heart I'm not too familiar with shoe boutiques. I meant nordstrom is like your shoe boutique since you find goodies there Smilie

I've definitely noticed that some people associate being obnoxious with being yourself and being confident. I wouldn't mind it if it didn't also equal hurting someone's feelings.

I don't exactly have thick skin. I'm hurt when someone insults me and if it's someone I know and think a lot of it really bothers me but I learned to get over it.
me too. I tend to dwell on it when ppl are mean. N then I try to think of things I could have said in response. Wish I had porda's quick thinking!

Despite you not being a fan of Express and okay fan of VS, it's nice to see you come by, it must be because we're that awesome Wink

I, too, was not this crazy before this thread, but I look back at my old shopping ways and I'm disappointed that I spent SO MUCH money at VS for very little, so in my heart of hearts, I'm so glad to have found this thread heart

DBF got pissed at me when I was visiting him and just wanted to check SD real quick to see if there was an Express deal since I had just purchased something. I don't get it - it doesn't take long, and I'm trying to save money

Picked up this express dress for 24.99 in store today. Did I over pay? Sad that all the dresses in this style were missing the belt Frown

I think email should be ok since it's faster and they'd probably just print it out anyway.

that's a good price. i think i have several of the belts. they use it for many of their dresses, it's very basic. it shouldn't be difficult to find belts that would work with it.

i wonder if you could have tried to ask additional discount for the absence of belt? i haven't tried it, just a thought.

after reading a couple of pages regarding shopping and new year's resolutions...

"hello, my name is ajollydork and I have a shopping problem..."

@So Cal SD girls: are you all planning a meet? I didn't get a chance to read all the pages, but some of you mentioned something...?

I frequent some of the places mentioned...perhaps seen some of you in passing.

Thx. I didn't think of asking since I wasn't positive a belt came with it. Every single other dress was missing it too so I thought maybe in the past they fashioned it with a belt as an add on accessory laugh out loud ill have to ask for a discount next time. Doesn't hurt to try Smilie hoping I can find this dress with belt at another express n then just return the one I got today.

I just finished watching Jiro Dreams of Sushi. DBF says that he went to one of Jiro's apprentice's restaurant in Seattle. I was drooling for sushi the entire time and wanted to go there until I saw that Jiro put wasabi between the fish and rice Sadwalk

They had it behind the counter. So I only saw the coloring. The green polka dots looked cute from a distance. The green is not as dark as shown in the pic. Just a Hint of brightness, but not neon like the pink

Ugh...I'm craving chirashi bowl at akasaka now that you've mentioned sushi! drool

A (chef) friend of mine recommend Jiro Dreams of Sushi to me and told me I would be totally love it. I was pretty skeptical considering that I don't eat sushi and wouldn't consider myself a foodie under any circumstances. After all, he's a chef making a food movie recommendation.

I was totally blown away by Jiro and his attention to detail. I couldn't take my eyes off of that movie. It was so well done and so captivating. What am interesting person!

My DH did good. bounce Since they didn't have a 4 in that dress, he had to choose between a 2 & 6. The 2 fits. I'd like to try a 4 also, but I doubt they'll get one in now. The top in the 2 is very form fitting. It's really snug around my arms, which I don't like. I may try to have it altered. The skirt part has plenty of room, so a 4 probably wouldn't have fit as well from the waist down. The 6 would definitely be out.
...
Whee yay! good job GH's DH!

aw, sorry it didn't work for you. i am actually being more picky on banded bottom tops now i give them my arms-straight-way-up test. this passed iirc that's why i kept it and rec'd it.
...
right now i have the hibiscus in that sleeveless top, the long sleeved top, the surplice 2-in-1 dress. i ordered the elastic waist dress in s (already didn't like the xs in the store), but didn't like it. i have the surplice elastic waist on order Teehee but i'm expecting not to like it, i just need to try and see to be sure.
i can see why you like that top. for $7.50 i may reconsider, i guess. but i just prefer my tops to be a tad longer. midriff is not something i like to show.

you must really like the hibiscus print. Teehee

I did just get my pa Whee.! Got the dreaded phone call over with.
..
i sat there for about 30 minutes today trying to figure out if i wanted to call for PA. laugh out loud i finally tried on the cord leggings that i got and i thought that i liked them. however, DH convinced me to return them, bc i do need a belt for the waist (when i sat down without a belt it showed crack, which i hate). i don't love the tight fit anyway but they would be tight in the winter. oh well.

is it the static fabric. we'll see how i like it. i don't do well with hi/low either.

i also got this. didn't notice it earlier.
that $10 hi low dress looks like that staticky fabric. i think it probably is.

the peasant blouse looks cute!

I think certain Stores have better quality things. The one in ny had all these fashionable nice styles. I was like wtf , its nothing like my jcp. For the price, jcp isn't bad. Much more affordable than some other ridiculous dept stores.
I think so too. sometimes tho, i admire the thick skin some people have-not letting others affect their behavior.
Yeah, JCP is similar to Macy's in some parts of US. Heck, some Macy's are garbage save for a few labels, while others are amazing. Crazy how much stores differ in what they offer and how people see them, thinking they can make value judgements about ppl that shop at those stores shake head

Comfort Don't let that change the way you operate! I tell people where I bought things and if I got a great deal on it (and I know they would appreciate it - few people wouldn't), how much I paid for it. After a negative response (nothing like yours EEK!), I try to always be prepared with a fun retort. Sometimes all I can muster up is a contorted face that amply shows my displeasure laugh out loud

laugh out loud Truth is, what she said would have taken the wind out of me and that reply would have come a minute too late. Timing is everything and sometimes I forget to bring words to the word fight. Ninja

San Pedro is super duper close to me! Make it happen - there's supposed to be good food in dt Long Beach, There's Trump or Terranea (golf resorts with great food and views about 20 min North). Also, your DH is fantastic about doing your returns. OMG I'm sure you've heard it a million times, but really - wow, what dedication!
