I'm pretty far from San Diego - about 2.5 hour drive in average traffic.
As for San Francisco, that's like 7 or 8 hours away, so definitely not possible for me.

sd is 1.5 from diamond bar, so at most it is 2 hrs from you (but you aren't that far from db). and i've made it to SF from db in under 6 hrs, so you're closer.
i mean, unless you hit bad traffic. when it's clear it's not that far.
aside from "fat" and "skinny" mirrors, i get what you mean with your warped sense of self. it takes a long time to look at yourself in a different way, and it definitely is in your head.
SF is a 5-6 hour drive, and SD is 1-2 hrs depending on who you talk to. SD is probably only about an hour away from disneyland, depending on traffic. it's a nice drive too (a lot of it is along the coast, not that you're scant of ocean views where you are :cover laf: ).
yes, calling is efficient, but we all hate it.
i hope the dress fits! i never did try it... i don't think i ever saw it in store.

It sounds like SF would be too far, unless we flew in a few days in advance. We do love that city though. We've never been to LA, so we should try to fit that in the next time we're in CA. We'll choose by cruise line & price, & then try to work something out for a meet when the time comes. It's going to be a while. I definitely want to meet up the next time we're there.

I recently had a roadtrip up to San Jose, it took 5 hours. This was driving 80+ at night. From where my friend lives in San Jose, to SF, was another 45min-1 hr

i used to visit sd a lot and sometimes i'd make it faster! then again it also depends on where you're going... if la jolla it's like an hour 15 from db.
