O~! Good to know! Maybe a 0 for me this time since it's not tight through the hips. DBF does not like the white one Sadwalk Looks like it could be a cute spring dress to me!
I could see how white could be overwhelming in that cut- maybe if they come out with a sheath or in a lighter fabric (just think, the peplum came out in how many different fabrics? laugh out loud ).
Quote from azn1x6flame :
Hm...side boob no good. Maybe S for you then or XS for going out. I want to try peplum tops now...

I might have to remind you to walk in backwards. Sly
. . .
I think I'll buy both and bring home to try out with my bra wardrobe.

XS will almost always look more flattering. i'm kinda regretting getting a dress in 0 instead of 2 bc the photos of the 0 looked more flattering. i've never worn it, bc obviously a 2 would be more comfortable. Doh

go with what you're comfortable with. photos do not tell all.
...
nod True. I'm learning to be more comfortable in things that are body-conscious. Heck, today I changed 3x b/c I had to take my car in and didn't want to attract too much attention (I would never wear that booby-peplum there, not in either size). I'm fine when I'm with DH, but by myself... another story. I'm comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt! Paperbag

my email about exp reward is in. very huge! i'm not going to tell because it's embarrassing. since i'll be using this reward first, and returning bunches of stuff, and trying not to shop much, i don't know how i'd make up for the neg i'm about to get!

i may go and get a target debit card. already told dh about it. he's ok with it.

Kurpee, these stores have return policies for a reason. You are not the only one returning merc. Of course I am not telling you what to do, but I feel like the manager is using a tactic on you to induce pity. I have seen it before...I have used it on guys before. It is very effective. As a professional (hahaha), I'd say don't fall for it. You are not doing anything wrong. It's your money. You should feel good about how you spend it, especially when clothing shopping.
thanks icey! you encouraged me to haul my big box o' returns to the store. i'll need an appliance dolly LMAO

Just a friendly reminder to please put people who annoy you on ignore.
I have cleaned up some of the bickering ...in the past these things have gotten out of control and threads locked. I would appreciate it if you all learned to nip it in the bud before that happens...ignore is a very nice feature that allows all of us to be in the same space even if we don't always agree or get along. Smilie

Thanks,

I'm a little rusty... My mom wants me to drop off a return for her when I go to the mall... She bought something with a $30 angel reward. If I return to store (they will mail it in since it was an online order)... Is she gonna lose her $30 or will they refund on GC? Sorry if I'm beig confusing. It was a $70ish dress so the receipt shows $45 total purchase price after $30 angel reward.

i just noticed the lace on my peplum dress is snagged, it now has a hole : ( i can reorder at the current price and return the snagged one with the new invoice, but i'm thinking that maybe it's not meant to be. i don't like delicate clothing, plus i am not sure if i'm really going to be able to wear it. i do like that it does something different to me because i look curvier in it.

the non-lace ones are cheaper and more wearable, but i got my lace for $28 :cry ing:
If it were me, I'd try to do an even exchange for that price. It's a nice dress, & $28 was an incredible price for it. I don't worry about it going out of style. IMHO, this dress isn't that trendy. I will wear it for many years.

Quote from azn1x6flame :
I will let you know about the bag once I get it. I hope it's still reversible! I only said that because I see a snap button. Might be weird if it's seen on the outside.

I like the 21 + to dine places. The one at Seattle is just like that. Seating is still like stadium seating, but just separated more for them to come up and serve. :n od: Those are neat theatres!

Let me know about the movies and how you like them once you get around to watching them!
When is your tote arriving? I have one on the way too. Whomever gets it first will have to update everyone on the reversible issue.

Theaters like that are very nice for special occasions. They're expensive for a regular movie night though. Then again, we think all theaters are too expensive to go often. If there weren't so many options for watching them later, we'd probably go to the theater more. We don't mind waiting.

Quote from kurips :
there are things in the new arrivals :shut up:
Whee I want more short sleeve tees to wear around the house. Hopefully, they'll add some soon.

:l ol: My mom is this way - I remember several times her being offended by that. Not a lot of Eastern cultures in the small WI town she grew up in. She didn't understand a lot of my friends from HS.

I wanted to tell you I wore the dark purple pants yesterday the way Nerdi mentioned them- with a neutral "nude" colored top and nude heels. My MIL had these pants at Thanksgiving and after I saw how she wore them, I loved it. Try a pair! I'm looking at 1 pair of pastels for spring/summer too.
I grew up in an area with no Asians at all. (BTW, if that term offends any of you, let me know. I don't know what else to use.) I love learning about the culture from the girls here. Actually, we had very little diversity, which is typical in small towns. I enjoy learning about everyone's culture.

Your outfit sounds nice. Which pants are you buying for Spring?

Quote from PordaPoddy :
Here's a photo of the cheap peplum in XS Attachment 1734318 and S Attachment 1734328
The XS is much more flattering.

Quote from azn1x6flame :
You are looking hot in the XS. S makes you look a size larger than you really are and hiding extra bulk you don't have.
nod

I love this dress [express.com]. I can't wait for it to go on sale.

And this? [express.com]
Those are cute. I hope they introduce more solid colors. I don't look good in white, & don't need more black.

Quote from nerdicus :
this [express.com] could be a good idea... it doubles as a cape for halloween! :ro fl:

i see some tops that i like. :facepal m: as if i didn't already have enough tops...
I can't believe they have that style again in new releases. Obviously, someone buys them. It's definitely not for me.

I'm the same way. I put on one of the Express rolled sleeve slub tees to wear to the doctor, but decided it wasn't appropriate. I ended up wearing a top that didn't show any cleavage.

I'm so excited Smilie I went to my VS today, and they had my boxing gloves. They were marked $36.50 but rang up $42.50. I bought two pairs. They gave them to me for the $36.50. I bought some other things, used a survey coupon and some store credit I had and only paid $14.xx OOP. I also got the tote and ear buds.

The same gloves were $40 at sports authority (with no free tote), so I found a deal in a very unlikely place. It's only fitting that I found exactly what I needed at VS Smilie

So happy!!!

It's amazing to be surrounded by a diverse crowd in your formative years. We all joked around and were self-deprecating about our cultures/stereotypes. That helped me learn a lot about what others viewed in their own culture as their strengths and vulnerabilities. Family interactions/expectations were so interesting too! I kind of feel like my friends got the short end of the learning stick- the only knowledge gleaned from my contribution was that Jerry Springer/soap opera families do exist laugh out loud
...
Pants - don't know yet. Already have a white pair. Maybe pastel mint or the brighter coral. I could also just go ivory - not very daring, but it's different from jeans so it is daring for me! I've been looking at J's Everyday Fashions and she wears bright pants alot. Sometimes to play them down, she just wears an even brighter top - but I don't know if that's our style Teehee . .. . .
I think it got worse for me since I haven't been working out Flex . I'm not confident that I could fend something off and I have yet to replace my pepper spray Numchucks I try to explain this to DH, but I don't know how to convey the feelings without reverting to some kind of prison analogy about dropping the soap in the shower and opening yourself up for an attack. Crazy

Not really, no. This was well controlled and nipped at 3 posts deep. I think the admonishment was obligatory. What kind of shopping have you been up to? Is your baby girl's closet loaded up with the latest in infant fashion?

i took longer time at express today because i was on a mission to find exchanges. my boys got very impatient. ds said, "we're not bringing you again" Rofl2 explained to him i've been putting all of them first the whole time, he should allow me some time to do the things i want to do too. dh agreed with me, although he was getting impatient also that time, then explains he was just getting tired laugh out loud

anyways i now have the blue peplum dress. i tried both the 2 and the 4. i think the 2 did look better if i wasn't planning to move Teehee i ended up with the 4 again.

also exchanged this top [express.com] from xs to s. the xs did work but it doesn't look flowy and will be easy to outgrow.

bought hibiscus Teehee dress [express.com] in s (have the xs in order but i thought the s already looked right so the xs might be a little small) and this dress [express.com] in xs (tried the s too and also works but i liked the less loose look)

also found that shoes i missed before... $10 now!

tried on the zebra sweaterdress in xs and it fits ok. i think i'd wait for more patterns they'll come out with.

Oh... and a random little girl (10-11is) complimented me on my crackle moto jacket in the restaurant. I guess my style appeals to little girls laugh out loud

Also, porda, that shirt looked so awesome on you!! I'm pretty much a jeans girl myself (who has recently gotten into leggings), so I commend your risk-taking.

I stopped by express really quickly today to do a return. I should have tried on that shirt. I noticed my express had it in leather, which was ridiculously hot...that may also be something I need to try on Smilie
