My DS has been exposed to more cultures than I was, but not many. I wish we had a more diverse population around here. . . .
I totally understand not being able to defend yourself. Not only am I little with no muscles, I'm also not healthy. That's not my main concern with showing a lot of cleavage though. I also don't like being ogled like a piece of meat. Some men are ridiculous.
. . .
It's so neat. I got to go to Bar Mitzvah's, Bat Mitzvah's, Cotillions, my BFF in elementary school was Muslim and I always loved her mom's outfits - they were Pakistani (I remember her having to fast during soccer season
I agree about the cleavage... I don't want it to be a distraction.
. . .
Very well said and I can't agree more!

Also, no, I think that girl in Sephora just looks downright trashy. She's probably thinking she's trendy or something, but the fact that you can see her muffin top makes her look even trashier.
I didn't see your post before I posted my response to Nerdi's Sephora encounter, but I see that snarky minds think alike
dont feel bad. Vs is being so shady with this offer!
Moving is a pain. I always curse my stockpiles when I move
Crash Hot Potatoes [thepioneerwoman.com]
I just have SO much stuff I can't justify buying much more right now. When we move though I am sure I'll have more room and more excuses
Crazy!!!!
We always have a backup plan - I already had warned DH that if DD was terribly upset when we were there I wasn't going to leave her there. It worked out well and we had a great day shopping
also with the S i was wearing the ivory cords, with red underwear underneath. i really couldn't see the red at all, which i thought was amazing.
also shown: the dress i bought that i don't remember - cap sleeve (knit top) with chiffon blue skirt. i thought it was different but i have no idea where i'll wear that. (2nd photo with belt in XS/S, which I exchanged for S/M so it shouldn't cut in as much now)
ponte knit in blue, 2. i didn't think it was made for my body type as the top was a little restricting (and you can see a weird ruffle around the chest area) but the bottom was a bit loose. i tried a 0 also and the skirt fit me great, but the top could barely zip up. now i know this style is not for me and i can stop looking at it.
stripe ponte knit fit n flare dress [express.com] in XS - i really like these stripes and i thought this was cute. it's not the most flattering cut for me in general but i thought it worked ok.
color block shift dress [express.com] in XS - generally this shape works well for me due to my smaller hips. it fit me everywhere except the shoulders, which were at least 2 inches too narrow. i didn't bother trying a S.
I like going on weekday mornings. I have the mall to myself just about. The sales just aren't as good as they are on weekends.

The flaring on the peplum top may be from the waist being tight. I tried that in the s and my tummy looks round.
I should have at least tried that striped fit n flare dress too. Looks cute on you.
I have the ivory gold black shift dress and I like it. Must be the difference on the built of our shoulders. It came with a belt with gold buckle but it's too small for me.
I also did a lot of returns, but not all. I regret not bringing them all bc the girl was very experienced and knew what she was doing, plus she was nice. I think that store is just nicer bc it's a larger store. they had a much larger clearance selection as well.
I dislike showing bra straps. i would wear that top with a bandeau underneath. Tho I don't usually like tops that look like they were the result of a lion attack.
I like the peplum dress on you too. It creates an impressive hourglass figure.
Give her a break. Maybe, she had been to the zoo & was attacked by a lion. She had to stop by Sephora, after going to the emergency room, to pick up concealer to cover the stitches. It could happen.
Speaking of being conservative, I must be uber conservative. I don't even like the bra strap showing on a regular off-the-shoulder top or dress.
the colorblock dress looked the same in person. maybe i should have tried the S. perhaps it would not have overwhelmed my figure and it definitely would have been better in the shoulders.
i grew up with my mom telling me never to show my bra straps. i'm less anal about it now but as a rule i dislike it as well. nowadays i'm a little lazier so for example, with the asymmetrical sweater that always falls down one shoulder, i usually just wear a black bra underneath. but i don't really like showing bra straps either - i definitely would not do it on purpose, like this girl obviously did. (love your zoo story tho. gave me a chuckle.
and your pic also shows why i liked the dress. it makes you look curvier.
