I need dh there on a busy weekend to help. I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not laugh out loud!
I love the mall during the middle of the week, 2 hours from closing time. Almost serene. After a few "meltdowns", I don't take DH to the mall for anything. I might experiment with Express since we can both go into the dressing room together... but I will definitely feed him beforehand! Am I talking about DH or a kiddo??? Laugh

I got a $90 & a $15 this month & have nothing I plan to return. That's worse! Obviously, I spent too much money there in Dec. EEK!

My DS has been exposed to more cultures than I was, but not many. I wish we had a more diverse population around here. . . .
I totally understand not being able to defend yourself. Not only am I little with no muscles, I'm also not healthy. That's not my main concern with showing a lot of cleavage though. I also don't like being ogled like a piece of meat. Some men are ridiculous.

. . .
I have the exact same rewards Embarrassment Luckily, items that showed up the other day worked for DH and were still in-stock to re-buy. Otherwise it would be so hard to spend $90 for non-returnable goods EEK! None of my in-store purchases have shown up since I got the CC, so getting credit for those will hopefully negate the returns I need to make in terms of points Pray .

It's so neat. I got to go to Bar Mitzvah's, Bat Mitzvah's, Cotillions, my BFF in elementary school was Muslim and I always loved her mom's outfits - they were Pakistani (I remember her having to fast during soccer season EEK! ) . I had actually forgotten about this stuff... so neat, I want more! DH's fam has a Swedish Christmas that is fun (although it involves too much pickled fish on the table for my liking Sick ).

I agree about the cleavage... I don't want it to be a distraction.

peplum top in S and XS - i thought the S looked better on me bc for some reason the XS one flared out more.

I agree that the S top looks better- I like the longer length on you, although the XS does not look bad nor stretched out. I love the cap sleeve/chiffon skirt dress on you! Wear it anywhere/everywhere. It looks cute with the flats you're wearing Smilie Actually, I like the peplum dress on you too... maybe you have a minimizing bra you could try it with? IMO, it looks so put-together. The stripe ponte is pretty cute too - it's not overwhelming on your frame... That thick knit fabric is so comfy.

oh and i just had to post this - while in line at sephora i noticed that the girl in front of me forgot to get dressed that morning:. . .
RollAt the very least, I'd have worn something to cover the muffin top that the camo leggings created.... but hey, what do I know?

Also, no, I think that girl in Sephora just looks downright trashy. She's probably thinking she's trendy or something, but the fact that you can see her muffin top makes her look even trashier.

one of my store purchases is this sweater [express.com]. they only had black in my size. thinking of pairing it with leggings. i have several leggings but i don't really wear them much, yall are encouraging me.
Cute! I have that in several colors Whee!

Quote from wolfiegirl :
Heads up to everyone who used the free shipping returns swim shipping code, make sure they didn't charge you an extra $12 when your merchandise shipped. It's super shady because the order confirm shows the correct amount. The shipment confirmation shows the correct item price breakdown AND s&h shows free but the numbers don't add up. Called vs n they said I placed the order in store n it didn't apply correctly "for some reason" What bs. I told her this was an online order. She wasnt at all apologetic, but she said I'd receive a credit for the difference in 7-10 business days. Super shady

dont feel bad. Vs is being so shady with this offer!
Checked mine! They are fine. Thanks for the heads up.

Those potatoes look yummy!

Moving is a pain. I always curse my stockpiles when I move Teehee

Quote from CrazyCatJade :
Ladies - I have to share this super awesome and super easy potato recipe. I make this with my steaks, you can boil the potatoes ahead of time and keep them in the fridge. I use garlic or onion powder instead of rosemary and be sure to be generous with the salt! They are DELICIOUS. We serve them with a little sour cream on the side. Make sure you let the tops get nice and dark golden crisp - that is what makes all the difference!!

Crash Hot Potatoes [thepioneerwoman.com]

I just have SO much stuff I can't justify buying much more right now. When we move though I am sure I'll have more room and more excuses laugh out loud

Crazy!!!!

We always have a backup plan - I already had warned DH that if DD was terribly upset when we were there I wasn't going to leave her there. It worked out well and we had a great day shopping Smilie

peplum top in S and XS - i thought the S looked better on me bc for some reason the XS one flared out more. Confused

also with the S i was wearing the ivory cords, with red underwear underneath. i really couldn't see the red at all, which i thought was amazing.

also shown: the dress i bought that i don't remember - cap sleeve (knit top) with chiffon blue skirt. i thought it was different but i have no idea where i'll wear that. (2nd photo with belt in XS/S, which I exchanged for S/M so it shouldn't cut in as much now)

ponte knit in blue, 2. i didn't think it was made for my body type as the top was a little restricting (and you can see a weird ruffle around the chest area) but the bottom was a bit loose. i tried a 0 also and the skirt fit me great, but the top could barely zip up. now i know this style is not for me and i can stop looking at it. laugh out loud

stripe ponte knit fit n flare dress [express.com] in XS - i really like these stripes and i thought this was cute. it's not the most flattering cut for me in general but i thought it worked ok.

color block shift dress [express.com] in XS - generally this shape works well for me due to my smaller hips. it fit me everywhere except the shoulders, which were at least 2 inches too narrow. i didn't bother trying a S.
I really love the blue dress on you.

A man is worse than a kid Teehee! My dh about had a meltdown when I was in zara!

I like going on weekday mornings. I have the mall to myself just about. The sales just aren't as good as they are on weekends.

I think the peplum dress looks good on you. It's the same color I own now.

The flaring on the peplum top may be from the waist being tight. I tried that in the s and my tummy looks round.

I should have at least tried that striped fit n flare dress too. Looks cute on you.

I have the ivory gold black shift dress and I like it. Must be the difference on the built of our shoulders. It came with a belt with gold buckle but it's too small for me.
Oh and I would have tried the black peplum dress rather than blue but the store I was at only had 0 and 4.

I also did a lot of returns, but not all. I regret not bringing them all bc the girl was very experienced and knew what she was doing, plus she was nice. I think that store is just nicer bc it's a larger store. they had a much larger clearance selection as well.

yes! the first photo I took of her didn't show the muffin top so I deleted it.

I dislike showing bra straps. i would wear that top with a bandeau underneath. Tho I don't usually like tops that look like they were the result of a lion attack.

I like the peplum dress on you too. It creates an impressive hourglass figure. OMG Both sizes in the top looked good. Is the colorblock dress different in person than online? It doesn't look like the same dress to me. My eyes could be deceiving me though.

Give her a break. Maybe, she had been to the zoo & was attacked by a lion. She had to stop by Sephora, after going to the emergency room, to pick up concealer to cover the stitches. It could happen. laugh out loud

Speaking of being conservative, I must be uber conservative. I don't even like the bra strap showing on a regular off-the-shoulder top or dress.
sounds like a consensus on the peplum dress. i had the same issue as you though, in that it was tight up top and loose at the bottom. i think it's built for someone who's smaller up top and bigger below - that's opposite my figure. the skirt was a bit loose and actually did that flaring out thing kurpee keeps mentioning.

the colorblock dress looked the same in person. maybe i should have tried the S. perhaps it would not have overwhelmed my figure and it definitely would have been better in the shoulders.

i grew up with my mom telling me never to show my bra straps. i'm less anal about it now but as a rule i dislike it as well. nowadays i'm a little lazier so for example, with the asymmetrical sweater that always falls down one shoulder, i usually just wear a black bra underneath. but i don't really like showing bra straps either - i definitely would not do it on purpose, like this girl obviously did. (love your zoo story tho. gave me a chuckle. Smilie )

i think the skirt on the peplum is not really meant to be as hugging as the others. this one, that's why i didn't think that the bottom isn't as loose on me as it's supposed to be drops more straight down, as opposed to flaring out. for this one, the size-limiter is the top.

and your pic also shows why i liked the dress. it makes you look curvier.

The floral peplum top has disappeared. Earlier the site said it was no longer available. I hope mine ships.

That's just our luck. I wanted to try the 4 & my store had a 2 & 6. You wanted a 2 & your store had a 0 & 4. laugh out loud
