OK, have to share... A family member of mine is pretty depressed, so much so that we would like to encourage them to seek someone out to talk to. (This isn't the brother with the recent breakup). The strategy my parents are using is to tell them how embarrassing their gloomy posts on Facebook are (for my parents) and 2) that anyone else in this person's shoes would be totally happy - what with the degree, job, etc. that they have. So.. basically guilt and shame. Bravo mom and dad, bravo. Facepalm

Sorry to hear that. It's really tough for the person on the other end; I've been there. They sound just like my parents. I hope this family member of yours will find some help and get the perspective that they need to get out of this rut. It can be difficult when they feel like no one is on their side fighting for/with them.

K, I bought the sateen pencil skirt in all colors last night Whee. I've tried it on. It's nice. I love the ivory lace top with the red. I'm wearing that!

would they fit me ok? i have problem with express's skirt where either the waist is too small or hips too big. i ordered only the neutral colors (stone and black).

i'm thinking of buying several of the 4.5" shorts. against my usual avoidance of multiples of the same style, but i'm thinking it's hard to find age-appropriate shorts.

I remember us discussing nail polish before, but I don't remember which thread it was in. Anyone mind sharing their favorite base coat, polish, & top coat combo? I used Essie protein base coat, Zoya polish, & Essie to dry for top coat twice recently. Both times my nails didn't make it through the day chip free. By the next day, I had to remove it. Most of the nails were chipping. Annoyed Obviously, the products I'm using aren't right for my nails or the combo doesn't work together.

I've ordered 4 pairs of those shorts already & may order more. I agree that the length is a big selling point. BTW, which jeans shorts have you bought & kept?
i just wear polish on my toes. it's normally opi. i get pedicures and take my polish and use the salon's base and top coat. my toe polish lasts about a month normally.

toes last a lot longer than fingers. the longest i've gotten out of polish on my hands was maybe a little longer than a week, but that's a stretch. usually about a week for good polishes and a few days for bad ones. on toes they never chip - they just grow out.

it's weird bc some polishes used to peel/chip really fast on me but they don't anymore. i think it may have been more to do with my nails than the products themselves.
