do you get express emails early or something? i don't get them early...

i guess i will just have to try many sizes of the shorts! but it'll probably be between 2 and 4 for me since i'm usually in between 0 and 2 at express and i like to size up for shorts. if i ever make it to the store i'll try a 6 just for kicks. thanks for all your help!

it's quiet in here. when will stacking start?
Not usually? IDKThat pic of you in the black linen- they look so much bigger than my size 2. These shorts are cut crazy I say! My size 4 blue sailors were cut smaller than my size 2's and that's not just in fit- laid on top of each other shake head Maybe this year's version will be more consistent and the linen less wrinkly. I'll wear the black ones, but I don't wear the light/natural linen ones. Smilie

If you're late, you can blame him. Evil Scratch throwing everything in the car. You can use my backup plan. Go shopping in N. Cali. to buy all the stuff you didn't have time to pack.

I just talked DH into going down to N. Miami Sat. - Tues. instead of tomorrow - Sun. to give me more time to pack. My knee isn't cooperating, so I had a good excuse to wait a couple days to go.
laugh out loud He'll just take dirty if it's not done or throw the wet clothes in his case and will say it's still my fault (because truth be told... it always is Tongue ) . I love your backup plan Evillaugh - would totally do that but we don't get a rental car until the night before we leave for camping and all the malls are closed. I did really well- we had 2 checked bags and 2/3 of the space was camping equipment, still fit all the clothes + 3 pair of shoes. Maybe I'll take a pic so I can remember it is possible. Teehee

Porda, I love the pink shorts. I have pretty big thighs because I tend to gain muscle quickly. I think that style won't work on me Frown
Thanks Smilie . Yes, I was first drawn to them for the smaller leg holes ( I was a little thigh-shy).

I think your original post about this top is the one that had me hunting it down. It's great!
Also, I love the subtle sparkle on the bottoms... shall we call it secret sparkle? Girly

So I called corporate, corporate called the store and backed the store up. I told them I'm surprised they don't have a single rule across the board. So I'm incredibly pissed because I'm being given the back and forth. Corporate said it won't count against me, but at this point, who knows. Corporate said that the store said they do it for high volume stores. I thought that to be laughable because when the nice manager was there, she gave me the sales number in comparison to the big store she was going to and my store is a teeny tiny tiny tiny store.

the black linen fits much better in 2 than the solid colors! i don't know if i just tried faulty ones, but the 2 and 4 both slipped off me pretty easily without unbuttoning. do they look bigger? they fit well i think... i thought they looked tight in the photo! laugh out loud are your linen ones from a previous season?
yeah... we'll see. i think it would be an easy alteration to do.
thanks for easy fit size. i decided against it since they killed all the codes.

Yeah, definitely send it back.

The cap sleeve dress IS nice. Really nice ponte knit kind of material.

I'm 5'3". It hits me at the knees. However, I don't really have chesticles that would bring the dress up higher. So I *think* it will also hit you at the knees with your chesticles nod Smilie Dang it. I need to find that mirror of mine and take pics to show you girls. I recommend it. Give it a try! I have it in the red. It's not a deep red, but it's still a pretty red. I haven't bought dresses from them in a while because there's nothing I love anymore.

Their bra designs are mostly okay for me, once in a while, there will be a great one. I like their swim, and most of their tops are just thin and Yuk
that would be awesome. i'll try it if i ever forgive vs and they send me a i'm so sorry cert Teehee.

I had both the peplum sweaters in my cart last night. Took them out because they were still expensive after the code and it's about to be summer (maybe, Mad @ 65 in late May Horse ).

I just realized what I did that is pretty much everyone's pet peeve, but I figured we all know each other so well anyway...

I'm a Size 2 in that dress, and weigh 110. hehe. If that helps any more.

I love it when you do Horse because it always makes me smile!

need your opinions...
* 2 months vacay... will be mostly in the beach or the mall... i'm more comfy with wearing long bottoms most of the time, shorts in the beach. weather: hot or rainy or flooding.
* mostly be wearing jeans and shorts for bottoms, and tops... i'm bringing a few dressy and casual dresses in case we are going somewhere special.

how many:
(1) tops
(2) jeans (full and ankle-length)
(3) shorts
(4) pairs of shoes, and which kinds? i'm planning to bring heels but i might need it only once. maybe i'll just use flats, like the blustery in black, this will be paired with the lace 2-in-1, the fitted white top with black lace with ruched black bottom, that magically gave me a waist. (would blustery be ok??)

thank you!

yes, but can be iffy because of the lack of the dryer and it's always raining. there may be laundromat nearby in case of emergency.
also, we'll be flying going to places so we'll be limited by baggage as well in our mini-trips.

Anyone ever taken a swim suit to a tailor to have it lined? Is that even possible? I just tried on the white tankini. My DH loved it. The chesticle area is reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe's white dress. OMG Unfortunately it's see through & form fitting. DH thinks it looks uber sexy. I think it shoes my muffin top. It's funny how we can look at the same thing & see something totally different. laugh out loud For his sake, I want to keep it. I would want it lined, before I would wear it though.

Let us know if they fit better. I almost put those in my cart last night, but the peplum red flag flashed through my mind. They're so cute, but so far Express peplum tops haven't been flattering on me. The black & beige striped tanks http://www.express.com/clothing/s.../cat610008 are the only ones that look decent as they are. The black & ivory lace tops I altered look better now, but I still haven't worn them.

1) you probably don't need more than maybe 10 tops. these are easy to wash and dry (hang dry or dryer in laundromat if you have one - make sure to take non-high maintenance tops that you know you can dry and/or fast-dry shirts like portofino).
2) will you be in any cold climates at all? if not, i would only bring ankle length jeans. full length jeans are annoying when it's raining because they get wet and drag - i hate it. they take forever to dry too. i would bring 2 different colored blue jeans (lighter and darker, thin ones) and 1 colored jean.
3) i would bring the basic shorts - denim, black, khaki, colored. maybe skip white bc that gets dirty and dingy easily. but i wear shorts a lot in the summer - if you wear pants more and are ok with that, then just bring 2 pairs of shorts and add to your jeans count. i would try for at least 5 or 6 bottoms total to alternate.
4) shoes is difficult! blustery can function as your "dressy" shoes, definitely. my problem with them is, they're better for colder drier weather. they don't work very well when your feet sweat - sweat tends to create hot spots and my feet were in pain after wearing them all day on a hot day. if you're only bringing them for the "dressy" shoes it'll be fine - just don't try to walk a lot in them. sandals - lots of comfy sandals. i would bring a pair of black, brown, possibly white, and maybe some fun colored one.
