also, we'll be flying going to places so we'll be limited by baggage as well in our mini-trips.
Shoes- I always take a flat sandal, low heeled, high heeled, and wedges in both black and neutral (brown or beige). Plus the blustery flat in black. I'd take more flats if I could find comfy ones. Take a few pair of athletic shoes. Maybe a pair of boots. I'd probably buy rain boots there and just leave them. You can find cute, cheap rain boots maybe.
Most I've packed for is 3 weeks and I had a car load. The whole thing totally blows my mind because I tend to overpack. I want to say take 3 outfits for every day but that would be a little crazy and your dh may have a stroke. We sometimes pay the laundry mat or hotel to do our laundry. It's $ but saves you time.
good point about full length jeans that get wet, that is annoying. i'll take off the barely boot. i'll stick with skinny i can roll up.
50beauty - tote with $50 beauty purchase.

i need to finish packing for our mini trip... we're leaving tomorrow. i thought bright and early (i took the day off) but i guess DH has to go to work... i'm wondering if i can make a quick mall trip before we leave... hmmmm.
yeah... we'll see. i think it would be an easy alteration to do.
thanks for easy fit size. i decided against it since they killed all the codes.
Freaking farkety fart knocking fraggle f_cker$ made me

Let us know if they fit better. I almost put those in my cart last night, but the peplum red flag flashed through my mind. They're so cute, but so far Express peplum tops haven't been flattering on me. The black & beige striped tanks http://www.express.com/clothing/striped+knit+peplum+top/pro/6311793/cat610008 are the only ones that look decent as they are. The black & ivory lace tops I altered look better now, but I still haven't worn them.
I haven't worn a single of my peplum tops either!

* 2 months vacay... will be mostly in the beach or the mall... i'm more comfy with wearing long bottoms most of the time, shorts in the beach. weather: hot or rainy or flooding.
* mostly be wearing jeans and shorts for bottoms, and tops... i'm bringing a few dressy and casual dresses in case we are going somewhere special.
how many:
(1) tops
(2) jeans (full and ankle-length)
(3) shorts
(4) pairs of shoes, and which kinds? i'm planning to bring heels but i might need it only once. maybe i'll just use flats, like the blustery in black, this will be paired with the lace 2-in-1, the fitted white top with black lace with ruched black bottom, that magically gave me a waist. (would blustery be ok??)
thank you!
1) Tops- I think 15 - 20 is good. You could do tops laundry once a week or wk & a half and would still have almost 7 clean tops to choose from or let it go longer.
2) Jeans - I would avoid skinnies in hot/humid weather as they just tend to stick to my legs. Pants take up a lot of room and are heavy compared to tops. I probably wouldn't bring too many full-weight jeans if that makes any sense. More of the fake lighter fabric ones. For numbers I would bring 3 Yoga pants (good for short trips and sleep - more if it's all you sleep in), 5-7 pants/jeans, 5-7 shorter styles. For ever color of pant, I would remember to add a neutral top into my top count. ETA - this is where I would cut back the most. 14 pair of pants is a lot
3) Shorts - 5 - 7 shorts, 3 skirts (1 can be black dress-up or down piece that can take the place of one of your dresses)
4) Shoes - lots of sandals! 1 - 2 wet and ready types like Nerdi was describing, 2 casual but more classy sandals (one black and one brown - or substitute a metallic for one of those). I would bring 1 pair of heels (black) and they would be strappy stiletto types for packing purposes. The only time I brought wedges to Hawaii, I regretted it - between the weight and how little I used them and what I could have brought in their place. I was sad haha. 1 - 2 pair athletic types (sneakers, tennis, hiking) - 2 since one might be wet and could have a big walking trip the next day. 1 pair of flats sounds right to me - feet sweating brings stink and blisters. I would bring a travel size foot powder for those. Don't forget moleskin or spray skin or whatever blister agent you use! If you must bring more than that- I would bring 1 more of the classy sandal or the flat, depending upon what you wore more of when you were there last.
5) (Yes, I'm adding a category for you
6) (For Nerdi) Undergarments - This is my packing splurge zone. I would bring 15 panties minimum. Bras - in a sweaty zone, I'd bring 2 black, 2 nude, 1 strapless/convertible strap for those annoying tanks or dresses that like to play peek-a-boo. I'd probably bring 2 sports bras as well. 2 of each for the wash one-wear one cycle. Socks...4 pair.
