darn, thats pretty good. i must've missed out on the deals with the Color run...
i found a ton at south coast last sas. i bought them at the 34.99 price bc i had a giant reward ($120 i think). i figured it was ok since i'm not in the area often and there really wasn't much else that i wanted. i think i also used my reward on a robe for a gift. kinda far to drive, but if you're ever in the area that's a giant store.

Have not gone to SAS, not sure when I will go, if even. I got bras online for a good deal for my dd, she said she only needs the basic colors. I don't really need any beauty stuff right now or even panties- go a bunch of those free with my big rc I had to use up.

DH invited over a old colleague that he has know before our kids were born. So I am busy cleaning because he told him he could sleep here and so the bathroom and bedroom needed a cleaning. Plus other areas of the house.

My niece is having boy baby #2 in September, a friend of hers and her mom are throwing a shower for her because she got rid of a lot of stuff because she thought you get a shower for every baby shake head. Well they did this at the last baby shower where they told guest what food to bring. Now they are doing it at this one to. I had never heard of anyone doing this before until I attended the first one. I feel that if you put on a baby shower and people are bringing you gifts you should provide the food, even if it is just snacks.

Oh no!!!! I agree... unless someone offers to bring something, it should be from the people hosting the shower... I haven't really seen anyone have two showers unless the kids were super far apart, or a VERY casual co-ed type thing when someone had a DD and didn't have any girl stuff....but their family will use any excuse to throw a party!!! haha!

I had not either, her oldest is almost 3 1/2 years old and when that had that shower I was told I had to bring quiche. No choice. I also heard form the lady putting it on their will be no soda, I guess just punch and water. Which is fine but the reason bothers me- only because my niece does not want to drink soda.

I am waiting to see if they are the same way with this baby as they were with the first one. No baby food until about 9 months, only breast milk. And you wonder why he woke up in the middle of the night shake head. I was bad I gave him some banana when he was 8 months old when she was in the hospital for her jaw surgery.

LOL.... one of my niece's did not have any food at all until she was 12 months!! I'm pretty sure I was having the cereal at 3-4 months too....I was just always hungry...it's still the same today... I need to have a bunch of smaller meals and snacks throughout the day!! I know the physicians say that because sometimes their tummies aren't developed...but if they can handle it, and it works....i'd do it too!

Yeah I lucked out. Got the angel sport bra for $14.99 and the crop pant for $24.99.

I was just really mad because they didn't have anymore of the pants in pink, so I had to order purple. I have these pink mesh shoes [pinterest.com] that would have been perfect. T_T
C'est la vie!

Blegh, I went yesterday to the mall, thinking, I'll use my PBOS June panty q, my $10 instore Angel RC, plus a $10 off bra q on a sports bra... they closed yesterday at 6pm in preparation for the SAS.. so of course, I'm stuck there with DS and DH and we went walking around doing other things, but I'm kinda upset since I had planned the evening to knock out as many things with one trip..

We're in my in-laws now. Bad news is that dh's grandpa passed away at 92 several hours ago. They know he's dying soon. But we were able to come in time to still see him alive. But he's very very thin and barely moves and responds. Our plan of ds's baptism and communion may have to be postponed.

Also, why are people making comments we all gained weight. Including me... Last time I was here I was pregnant, wtf EEK!
Sorry about your DH's grandpa.

As far as gaining weight, I've lost weight since the baby of course, but EVERY TIME I would go to visit DH's family, they would say, "Are you SURE you're not expecting twins?"... No, just 1...

I don't know how to make a quiche??? hahaahah, I'd not attend if someone had the audacity to make a food selection request...

Quote from teenbean :
I can possibly understand making it a pot lock because sometimes it's hard for the person throwing the shower to pay for a lot of food. But telling you specifically what to bring is uncalled for. I wouldn't even know how to make a quiche. laugh out loud

I gave my babies food as soon as possible. My boobies couldn't make enough milk to keep them well fed.
I stopped pumping breast milk at 4 months, DS had his last bottle of breastmilk at 5 months (we had a 1 month frozen supply) He's now 6 months old and I started him on food at 4 1/2 months.. 2.5oz of baby food per day... now we're at 3.75oz baby food per day..

How did you get so far ahead of him? For about the first 3 months I stayed 1 bottle ahead. Then I got to where I had a few saved when he started the cereal. I could never get far enough ahead to freeze it. The pump was a life saver though. DS wouldn't latch on and it was taking forever to feed him.

The lactation consultant DIDN"T tell me that I had an oversupply of milk, she talked with me on the phone and she thought I had an undersupply... so she told me to INCREASE my pumping, to EVERY SINGLE 3 HOURS!! OMG I felt awful, I was drinking gallons of water, the weight was dropping... in 3 months, I was back to prepregnancy weight, although, it hasn't changed since then.. DS is now 6 months old.. I remember a point where I made a 2 day freezer supply in 4 days time!!! I was getting very depressed, DH could see it.. I developed eczema in my hands from stress and possibly from constant pump part washing (I don't have a dishwasher)... eventually at 3 months, DH told me to stop pumping.. it took a month to wean myself down, and then 1 month of freezer milk... Here are my pictures of the freezer.. I documented the process of freezing breastmilk.. (actually got freezer burn at one point on my fingers from reorganizing the milk bricks) The funny thing is that where I'm renting, it's an oversized freezer.. so it was FULL...

I bought this yesterday (3rd pic).. $35, minus the $4 q that was inside it... we'll see if it works.. Wink
