Hm, it may be time to polish the resume and put out feelers.
A contractor is going to be showing up to "do some data mining of the current system".
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that means "doing analysis to see what it will take to migrate to an off-the-shelf helpdesk package that costs a million dollars instead of paying a few developers".
