Rain should be changing to snow in a few hours...first snow of the season. woot

They're expecting around 3" (twss Frown )...maybe more, maybe less.

same is about to happen here. we got a bunch of snow, but Sunday is expecting 47 temps and rain....

62 degrees when visiting Atlanta earlier today. Still 56 when we got home to NC at 8:30 pm.

So far every time we get some snow on the mountains, a storm comes through and rains heavily on the snow washing most of it away. This is playing havoc on the snow pack, the skiers and on the people who live anywhere near the rivers and streams, lots of flooding and mudslides. Doesn't bode well either for our summer snow melt that is needed for the waterways for the salmon runs and for our drinking water.

Schools are starting to close here tomorrow because of the cold. Weenies.

Can't tell you how many times they close school because of snow and not 1 flake falls.


When I was in high school, that only happened once when windchill was -40F.
