bring them to the beach where LOTS of people have tattoos. point out the older ones and use terms like patina copper and prison tats.

I have a co-worker who has a ton of tattoos. Really nifty ones. But I didn't know about them for the longest time because he always wears long sleeves and such at work. I never saw them until people were talking to him about them one day.

[Though I guess many people have tattoos that are pretty visible, and do not cover them up all the time.]
