Who has two thumbs and has a wife that went into labor on her own this morning?
This guy!
DW is having contractions, was dilated when we got to the hospital. Her OB broke her water. Waiting on lab results prior to getting her epidural. What a morning!

Yes there will be pics!
One of my fears about "Waiting for it to happen" - I hear many stories about contractions starting, rushing to the hospital, then being sent home. Sometimes this happens several times.
Note that DW would like VBAC but given that pitocin didn't work so well the first time around, and just resulted in a 28 hr delay in the "procedure", we're defaulting to just going with a C-section unless DD2 comes in the meanwhile (thus the C-section is scheduled for 8/2 and can always be cancelled).
Think of the celebrity endorsement opportunities that would bring!

I remember trying to sleep after DW got the epidural, because it would be the last "good" sleep I ever got.
If that is the case, I think I will be the one rioting. Get me my torch and pitchfork! I'm going medieval on this piece!

In that case, you should start taking steps to get things started a week before her due date...long walks, bouncing on an exercise ball, spicy foods, and sex.

The nurse just made the call. Contractions are every 1-3 minutes.
