Here's a bad weekend for ya Annoyed

Leave for SC around 7pm Friday with hubby driving after working all day; finally switch to me driving around eh 1:45 to 2am - I'm driving for about 1-1/2 hours when the hood of the truck flies open and back at the windshield OMG I can't see anything and it Shocking the hell out of me. Hubby says pull over and I'm like I can't see sh!t to pull over Annoyed He watches the side of the highway so I can pull over safely. We are lucky it did not break the windshield, nor shear off completely, it almost did so. Hubby gets the hood back on, and we arrive safely at 4:30am to our destination. We set the alarm for 8:30 am, we need to get up early to fix a Quad we are bringing back, that we have no idea why it won't start. Find out it's a battery issue. Takes 4 hours to put the battery acid in, let it set for 1 hr, then charge for 3 hours, after we find a place that has this battery.

I get some sleep during this time, hubby gets none, he is also fixing a few other things in the house we are at. We leave at 7pm Saturday night to head home, and there is a detour in the Washington, DC area, which sends us in circles a couple of times, until we get back on the right track Annoyed We arrive home at 5am, set the alarm for 8:30am, as we have to run errands early Sunday morning. Sunday morning comes, very little sleep, and it turns into a major nightmare from the first stop and going forward.

BIL calls tells us he can't get my FIL up and walking EEK! but we need him up here so we can get him to the hospital here, where they know all about his conditions. Finally after many conversations, he is able to get him up and home around 5pm. We get him all settled in, make sure he is okay, everything is fine; come back to our house, hubby had been napping on/off all day - I still have had no sleep. Get a phone call at 8:15 from FIL he is not feeling well, tells me his symptoms, I call 911, telling them I think he is having a heart attack, he is rushed to the hospital via Ambulance, hubby follows the ambulance. They stop mid-way to push an IV with nitro into him - his blood pressure has sky rocketed above 214 - apparently the Paramedic was driving and an EMT cannot push an IV - not allowed.

So now he is in the hospital, and they have had him on a constant Nitro drip up to 20 mgs, trying to control this incessant high blood pressure. Today they finally took him off of it, and have him on a blood pressure medication (new one) - and he will end up in Rehab once again, sigh.

tldr - Bad road trip - FIL back in hospital - I'm back on the merry-go-round Mad
