This is a freebie site that has everything!!!!! The cool thing about this site is that they show you pictures of the deal (kinda like yelp i guess), and you can search by location (you can save your time and find what you're looking for around your area), by categories or by keywords yummy

Quote from MichCamper :
It's been a rough evening yesterday and morning today trying to be supportive for my friend. The one that I took food to for her Monday lunch. She's caught her husband yet again either having or trying to have relations with another woman. She went to order flowers for her teenage son to take with him on a dance/date, and the floral store already had everything on file when she provided her home phone number. She's never been there before and hasn't ever gotten flowers from him in the 21 years they have known each other. That caused her to check phone records, instant messaging logs, and some other things and was able to confirm things. He posted that he wished he was still unemployed so he could spend the day talking and seeing her. He wants to run away with her to Vegas and so on. She is married, but returned to her husband recently and appears to have another man on the side besides my friends husband.

This is the third time. I knew about the last one, and didn't know about the first time. It seems this guy keeps falling into a pattern. There is a teenage son (15) and a toddler girl (2). It's not an easy situation. Last time then decided to stay together and work on things. It was difficult but they made it through a lot of things including financial hardships, long-long-term unemployment, his going back to school, and a variety of other things. From the outside looking in, it seems she has been a good mother and wife. Granted, I haven't spoken to him and I don't know his side of things, but I don't think this is a case of not having a loving and supportive spouse. If anything, as a spectator, I see him not doing much for her or supporting/appreciating her.

It wont be easy for her to decide what action to take. I wouldn't want to be in her shoes. You tend to have invested after all those years and there are the kids to consider too.

It's amazing to me that people seem to undervalue what they have and how it appears that what they have to lose isn't considered by those that stray. Assuming my friend is right - the other woman and my friend's husband could lose their spouse, families, savings, homes, future, and so much more as well. What will they gain? Someone else with a history of cheating? Someone else that gives up and looks for someone new when things turn boring or difficult? From what I have seen, it was my friend that was the provider, so I'm not sure how he thinks he'll fair on his own.

It's just sad. All I can do is provide viewpoints for my friend to consider, and listen. I can provide emotional support and pull her back from the ledge when she begins to see herself as a failure. I can't tell her what to do. It's not my relationship. I'm not the one that knows what splitting up or staying together like this will be like. I'm not the one with over 21 years invested.

I pray for her. Pray
sorry for your friend that she has a scum bag. At least with you being her friend she has a support system. Doesn't life--um I mean other people--sometimes suck?

Glad you help out Mich.

Blah, I saw the $20 BR Back to the Future on Amazon. I didn't have any worst buy cards to use. But, I turned a Kroger card into Kindle card. That is great! But, once home, it was up to $55. I put in a deal aleart and received word that Target had it. I couldn't get into an account so I went to make a new one but, it didn't seem like I was on an account page since there not a password. But, to make sure I got my points from a shop though. I removed the item and was going to clean out my cookies to start over. Turns out it returned to the $54 price there while I was doing all that. So, I'll wait, it should be back at some point. NOw, I just hope I can get the Transformers set from worst buy. I have a $10 coupon for that. So, that's $15, if I can find it.

Well, time to try to make a dent in lab work.

Thanks for all the kind words friends.

It's been a busy weekend and week so far. My extended family (family are those that treat you like family with no regard to blood relations; often times better than your blood relations) has had a death in the family. I was with the family on Friday when they all went to the home where the deceased was. The police was there as was most of that immediate family. I've been engaged in helping out the family ever since. Taking calls, making calls, running around and making a planter basket for the funeral home, funeral home viewing, sympathy cards, helping with food, and so on. I've met a lot more of that family through all this. I was there for the immediate family only hours and today I will be there for the funeral, cemetary, and wake. I am one of the pall-bearers as well. It means dealing with time off work during my busy season, but it means a lot to be there for these fine people.

So now you know why my current postings have seen so few and far between.

We have had such nice weather and today will be colder. figures

I have renewed my license plates. As I posted before, this month sees a lot of annual bills that make it a tougher month financially. However, I got one small surprise in a $12 per month reduction in my mortgage payments and a refund of excess escrow. That will help. I received an insurance dividend payment that will pay the annual premium on another policy which will help too.

It will be a long, emotional day today. My sleeping patterns these last few days have been more naps than sleeps and waking several times a night. I hope for a good night of sleep today.

My foriegn language class was harder, but I have some folks that will help me so I hope to catch up to the others in my beginning class that all have the background that I do no. I hope the library has a rosetta stone like program I can use to help me.

My plant basket turned out really nice and I have gotten a lot of praise for it. It's rewarding when people take note of your efforts and have kind things to say as a result.

The friend I posted about with the troubled marriage did such a nice thing with food for everyone at the funeral home, She even made some dinner food for the family of one of the daughters of the woman that passed away. It was very nice and she proved again what a special friend to others she is.

I hope everyone is well. Grouphug I appreciate all of you and I hope to get this thread back to some regular postings again. Until next time - thank you all for being my friends.

It's been a very long weekend since Friday evening. The funeral is over and I'm laying down for a nap.

I scored a slickdeal on a new suit for the funeral. $60 suit jacket for $17.98 on clearance, matching suit pants on clearance for $20, a really nice black dress shirt with black strips on clearance fot $16.08, new black belt on clearance for $5.00 and I had a new, sharp looking grey suit and black dress shirt.

The meal was good and I met a lot of their extended family. I feel more a part of that family now than ever. I have been a pallbearer before, but this time was very easy as there was very little lifting/carrying involved.

It's going to be good to get some rest. Sadbye

Sorry for the loss Mich, those are always tough.

So, where was this slickdeal you came across? I may need stuff for future work. But, I have to do my best to shed some weight. This no snow has had a bad effect. No shoveling = no exercise. Twice, I had to do major shoveling so far. First time, the snow was gone the next day... The second, the snow was gone the second day after... I don't think I've seen the neighbor plow his driveway yet this year. Few people in the area hadn't bothered with even clearing any snow. The UPS guys was grateful that I had cleared snow. He said few driveways were clear. One reason I knew I had to shovel. Just to make it easy for him.

I probable could hit the golf course, but I haven't had the time available to do so. I'd like to say I golfed all winter. I know someone that has in Nov, Jan and Feb. I'm not sure about December though.

I did get those BOGO headlights from Amazon. I'll probable wait till Friday to install them in the car. In the last two weeks I just bought new low beams and last month it was high beams. Odd that they tend to go out at the same time. But, I think I'll swap them out and see how the new ones are. I'd like to have a wider field of light.

I'd like to get the BR set of Back to the Future. I keep missing out on the Amazon/Target $20 deals. I did score on the $15 Tranformers set though at BB last week. I haven't had a chance to watch it yet though. That was still free since I had the BB GC's. Plus, I got a friend to mail me his $10 coupon he had from the disk he bought in September. I'm wondering if the $15 set is less than what he paid for the single disc.

I found the clearance items at Target. Some of the pants are not on the clearance racks though; check the regular racks for the slacks which are on sale/clearance for $20 and match the suit coats found on the clearance racks. I found two clearance belts hanging with the other belts so it pays to check things out.

I didn't know anything about any headlight (or other deals) so I missed out on all of that.

It was so good to sleep well. I have done nothing but short naps since Thursday night and once I could relax after all the funeral things it wasn't long until sleep took over. I set the alarm clock for about a two hour nap, watched a little tv from bed, and slept through the night. It was good that I was full from the luncheon as I was too tired to eat dinner last night.

I don't feel much like going to work today, but life must move on.

They may still be active. You can add one of each high/low to the cart, to receive the BOGO. Not till the last page, before you submit, will you see the discount. IF it's there.

They're cheaper than the Sylvania SilverStar that I recently purchased. Sure, these may not last as long. But, I'd like to know if they have a wider field of light, we'll see.

I didn't need them. Since I just replaced everything. But, I took the time to swap everything out this morning. So, I'll find out how well they are. I know the orange pack Sylvania is what I had for the high beams and I didn't like that they didn't spread out. There was light a tunnel of light. But, the low beams do stay on. So, at least they lit the edges.

I had about $15 left for a gift card use. So, that wasn't too bad. I stopped and picked up some more Kindle cards.
I'm taking a chance that there won't be a good LCD monitor clearance at BB. Hopefully, Amazon will have something. I was going to get a second one. But, I may have to replace my current one. It's having issues.

Sleep seems, more or less, to be restored. I took time to start chilli last night before bed. A slow, low heating of much of the ingrediants overnight will help with the flavor. This morning I seasoned, spiced, cooked & added some lean ground sirloin, chopped and added some celery, and tweaked the 7qt batch a bit. I heated it on high before leaving for work and then turned it down to low. I will soon head home for lunch and turn it up to low for the last three hours or so before enjoying it with hot, homemade bread from the bread machine.

I'm looking forward to the weekend given how the last weekend went. I'm going to the art museum and winter blast this weekend, running some errands, church, senior visitation, and hopefully some rest. I would like to get a few other things done, but there's only so much time and I really don't think I will get to them.

I had a mishap at dinner last night involving a digging sauce for corn fritters at a BBQ place. I ended up going to the restroom and removing my sweater, turning it inside out to prevent more sauce all over everything. It landed on my new pants as well and left things sticky/tacky. It was not an enjoyable moment. Luckily, I had a colored Tshirt on under my sweater and I was still able to go grocery shopping before going home. I threw things in the washer and I think it all came out. I have the items line drying during the day in my basement in the hopes of not shrinking things.

The food was good, but the place is almost a half hour away and even with a groupon like offer, it was still more than I usually spend on a meal out. I really like good bbq; it's just a shame that it often costs more than I think it should.

Well - since one bulb is both the low and high beams there's just no need for me to buy two packs. They don't come in the size for my other vehicle so I decided to pass on this deal. I would like to know what you think of them though. I may need some at some point down the road.

Finished lab in class. Now waiting for the others to finish. Then, it's lecture time.

wow - I admire your commitment and efforts and wish you well in your job hunt.

Chilli turned out good.

I turned down the heat and I'm cuddled up in a blanket watching tv. Then it's off to get some well deserved sleep.
