I was a weekly winner in the Firestone FB contest and won a Firestone Tire gift certificate for four tires valued up to $1400. The certificate has to be filled out (and again with my SSN), and they will MAIL the tires to me... Does anyone have experience with winning a gift certificate like this where the value of the prize is variable? Would I have to report a prize value of $1400 even if I only spent $400 (and Firestone will have record of the actual amount I spend.) Any input would be great. During the past few weeks, I won a $24 Papa John's gc and a NASCAR Track-Scan scanner and headset (ERV: $300) from the Pepsi Max It Now contest, as well as a $10 Dollar General gc from the Frito Lay Country Music sweepstakes. I also won sunglasses and a music download from Marlboro's IWGs, and a music download from the McDonald's USA Wins Gold promotion.
A few months ago, I won an autographed book and a $10 iTunes gc through separate contests run by Brass magazine, and a $25 Starbucks gc through their Frappuccino Happy Hour photo contest (Twitter). Starbucks never completed that 2-week long contest, however, and although I was in the running to win one of their grand-prize trips (I had a 1:30 shot of being selected), I don't think they ever picked winners for the trips since the contest ended abruptly. My emails to them went unanswered...but I'm happy to have won anything from Starbucks! I also "won" $4 in Dunkin' Donuts gcs by having the 'best comment' on one of their Facebook statuses and emailing them feedback on a particular location; try as I might, I can NEVER seem to really win anything from Dunkin' Donuts despite entering every single Twitter contest, FB contest, and even being called back to audition as a finalist in one of their national commercials!

Also won a book and $50 gift card two days ago from a different blog. I've only ever done instants up until about 3 weeks ago so this is a great start to the bigger world of sweeps. Makes all those hours I've been logging every day clicking links and filling out forms seem worth it
