Urination equality

Finally! Amsterdam just reached urination equality after a multi-year battle and thousands turned on in protests.
One Geerte Piening, 23, was peeing in the street after a night at the bar with friends, she was caught by police and fined €140 (later reduced to €90) since the judge said she must have used a men's urinal. Amsterdam has 35 public urinals for men and three public toilets for women.
The protest initially was planned at her original place of peeing but was canceled after too many people wanted to attend. Thousands across the Netherlands took to the streets in support and authorities gave up.
Amsterdam recently announced that 4 million Euro was allocated for the installation of "wheelchair-accessible" public urinals. Power to the people!

The lady doth protest too much, methinks.
The room was huge and beautiful with LED lights designed like a starry sky, large mirrors on the walls, etc. There were no any urinals or pissoirs, only individual stalls and one large common area with bathroom sinks. While I was there, I had a strong feeling that women weren't appreciative of such an establishment.

Peddling in public toilets should be explicitly prohibited by the government.
In China, they installed automatic toilet paper dispensers that work only after taking your photo, a few sheets at a time. Now, that's the way!

I could guess ladies might find it uncomfortable when men take a crap in the adjacent stalls, see men straightening their pants right outside the stall doors, and then washing hands/faces in the nearby sink. I'm old enough to have seen the ladies' lounges and powder rooms in upscale malls and other high-class establishments in the US and Europe. Women, generally, need more privacy and personal space in the restrooms. To me, it looks like a very obvious and natural order of things.

As far as men adjusting themselves, I've seen guys do this in public; they don't need a restroom to do so. And if they need adjusting, so be it.
And regarding fancy lounges for women, yes I remember those and sometimes still find them in hotels, etc. Then again, supposedly women used to swoon so I guess they needed such a space, lol.

PS: I often think many guys do this without even realizing they are doing it.
