You would think when they schedule the appointments they could tell you that they're going to do an allergy test and your kid shouldn't take his prescribed allergy medicine.
They did the same thing to the lady next to me. Both of us went in only to have to reschedule for next week.
I'm so damn annoyed that I have to wait another week to get my poor child some relief.
Anyone know how long it takes to get results back on an allergy test?
Another rant... I checked my son into school and was told anything after 10 was an absence (not a half day; a whole day missed). I told her it was pointless to even bring him in then.
I'll update again next Friday after his evaluation.
meToday...I don't know how long it takes for allergy tests to come back...I really don't think it's long though. My brother had some done when he was younger and he got them back really really quick.
And geeze...1/2 day should be like...11:30 or something

I asked her wtf the point in bringing him was and she said he still gets his lessons he just doesn't get credit for being there.
I think they should have 1/2 days.

I remember the 10:00 rule from when I was in school. That was the magic time for early dismissal so the school would get paid for the day.

BOTH boys woke up last night and visited us. I made DH march the older one upstairs since it's his fault he came down in the first place. There has to be a near-zero tolerance policy for sleepovers in our bed, or else it becomes a free-for-all! I'll lift the rules in case of illness, but that's it.
The little one was up at 4 wanting to watch Yo Gabba Gabba.
But back to ranting. I forgot my bag that I bring to work with my water, aleve, energy drink powder...all my necessities.

I'm more annoyed at the people who come in here and chat the place up on purpose.

I should've kept my damn mouth shut.
Your little one has the wierdest sleep schedule. I'm surprised it's not more consistent.

other kids in the neighborhood want to know why the toothfairy don't drop off no stinkin' gift...just money and a farking note.
not only that but the easter bunny came with baskets full of $50 video games to them.
it really isn't fair. there should be a manual on these things so everyone's on the same page.

last christmas santa dropped off two gifts for the neighbor's kids and bragged to other kids in the neighborhood that they got two. so these other kids that got only one from santa felt crappy and thought santa didn't like them or something. it was hard to explain why one set of children get more than another, that's all.
i honestly don't care what other families do. that's their business but when it spills over and negatively affect other children, then i care.

The little one was up at 4 wanting to watch Yo Gabba Gabba. How 'bout you march your tiny hiney back to bed until the sun comes up instead?
Our son has a lock outside his door. We started locking it at night after he had been in bed for a little bit. We can see his door upstairs (we have an open living room where it goes up to the loft/kids rooms so we can see it all from here)...because he would keep coming out at night while we were down here. So now we say "Ok, we'll keep your door unlocked when you go to bed if you can stay in your room like a man." (Anything that will make him a "man" he's all for, lol). MOST of the time he will stay in his room but he still comes out.
That sucks he was up at 4 a.m. Wtf? I wish we could have our kids energy. They wake up early all

You know what bugs me is different commercials...like Walmart..when they'll show the mom's going "Walmart has such cheap prices..now I can fill their Easter Baskets for less!" and my daughter starts going "Why is that mom saying SHE fills the Easter basket? I thought the Easter bunny did?" Those damn commercials don't care that they give away the secret of "Santa" and the "Easter Bunny" all so they can make money

The thing is...because of all that money, I never had to work, never worried about money when I was younger. When I got older and into the "real world"...it was a rude awakening. Suddenly I didn't have money at my fingertips to by whatever I needed at the grocery store. I had payments for the house, etc and had squandered the money I first got from the trust because I was ignorant and didn't realize and I hate myself for those mistakes now. This year I get the money again and I'm living for August so I won't have to worry monthly about overdrafts, if we have enough money for rent, etc. This time, I'm wiser and know better and won't think this money is great for vacations, cars, etc..but that we need it to live on.
If I could go back, I'd get a job when I was a teenager and work even if I didn't need the money. I'd realize that I was lucky as a kid that my parents had their house paid for and money in the bank but not all families are like that (mine isn't now..my husband/myself/kids I mean)..and that I shouldn't just take for granted that there will always be money somewhere. I blame myself for taking it for granted and I'm teaching my kids not to think the same way I did.

I saw a little girl tonight in CVS sneeze. And then really runny snot ran down to her lip. She wiped it with her forefinger and of course, you know what's comin'....she stuck the finger in her mouth and licked it up while I watched in horror.
You're standing there uncomfortably with loads of soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc all bundled in your arms and you almost drop all of it because you see this girl.
