Q's CVS Lounge

6,510 5,400 October 6, 2015 at 03:21 PM in Cool (4) CVS
I changed the name of the thread because I think that Q's CVS Lounge gives a better representation of what the thread is about. This isn't a deals thread although I will sometimes be posting deals. I'll probably talk more about Transylvania and the stock market than I will about the drugstores but the main thing is that is that I want this to be a cool place to hang out.

I don't think the register at Target would let you. It's programmed to stop at 4.
Target registers allow more than 4 "like" IP's to be used in a transaction, even if they are all the same date! Yes, the cashier may stop you, but the register sees each IP as a different coupon, unlike insert Q's which are all exactly the same. If you look at the IP barcodes, they are all slightly different.

I saw it in the CVS thread and thought it was clever but something that wouldn't work at a store that's going to hassle you anyway. Since I don't print IP's (for the most part), it won't have any impact on me. I only went to one CVS tonight but I spent around $300 (before coupons, of course). I wanted to test things out and see if I had any issues (as reported in the thread). The only hiccup was the $4/$15 lotion crt coming up red on a $14.98 purchase but the cashier overrode it. Everything else was as normal but I didn't have any expired crt's or x/xx's to test. CVS is making a big push to go to the mobile app which could turn into a problem for people with multiple cards. I don't get any email % off q's and if CVS takes away expired crt's and x/xx's and starts to hassle me over 2 cents and multiple cards, then I'm going to have to look for a new place to shop. I don't know what store that will be because every store seems to have its own set of problems.
Not really. I have 3 CVS cards and have one linked to the app on my phone, one linked to the app on DH's old phone, and one linked to the app on DD's iPod. But I don't think their "app only" deals this week are anything to write home about. I only installed the app on 3 devices and linked the 3 cards to get that $3 EB they were offering awhile back.

I'm sure that you're right. I don't think I've used an IP at Target this year. It definitely will stop you at 4 on mq's.

Yeah, the Target registers will definitely stop you at 4 insert Q's, but I've used as many as 8 "identical" IP's without any problems whatsoever. Ditto for our local grocery store that only doubles 4 like coupons. It will cut you off at 4 insert Q's but will double as many IP's as you have. IP's are unique that way.

I ended up getting a $2.50/$11 bw crt and a $2 Dove men's crt (but it wasn't for bw). I can't make the Dove scenario work with
what I've got. If I come up with something, I'll post it.

Here's the Febreze deal at Target. It's highly ymmv...

10 Febreze x $3
- $3.30 x 4 (bogo)
- $1 q x 2 (from coupon book in Crest bonus pack)
- $1.50/2 q x 2
= $11.80 and get 2 $5 GC's
or $.18 each

Here's the Revlon deal at CVS for super lustrous lipstick

$7 Revlon x 3 = $21
- $3 peelie x 3
- $4/$15 Revlon crt
= $8 and get $12 ecb's

The limit is 6 so you can get 3 more for free
The trick unfortunately is in finding the peelies - they are wherever
the Revlon rep went

They said on the news that the lowest average price for gas in the country was in Charleston, SC @ $1.92 a gallon. The highest price was in (you guessed it) Los
Angeles @ $2.96...
1.78 here for regular at costco.

i thought the SNS sco's didn't stop doubling after 4 but couple wks ago i used 6 yulu ip's and it stopped after 4. unless i got that confused w/ it being the cashiers that didn't stop? my oop for 2 silk coconut milk and 8 yulu was around the price of just one coconut milk so i can't complain. the milk was lower than advertised price, that's why i bought more yulu than i had expected to and didn't have enough q's. although i probably wouldn't have been able to print out more than that anyway. i might have bought another silk fake milk if i'd had an extra q.

Do you remember if the Yulu's were Qples? Qples are not unique at S&S, even though they are IP's. More than 4 IPs still double at S&S, but some of the "priinters" don't really make them unique, even if the pin is slightly different. Qples are one of these and don't double more than 4 at S&S.

I came up with a deal while I was sleeping last night. I'll try it this morning and report back if it actually works. It's too good to be true so I'm thinking that it probably won't work but we'll see...

I'm good. Hope you are too. I need some mindless reality TV type fun, so I found this thread and it works.

Sad day for me as METV is not showing Perry Mason any more. Boo MadEEK!Mad
