this is the lounge. not much traffic here. and since it's already out what does it matter? but i'll delete it if it will make you happy.

i'm off to sleep. macy's one day sale was a total disappointment. target black friday sucks. i got a 5/5 from kohls so i'm definitely going there on black friday. all the feathers are coming out of my jacket so i need a new one and the costco ones this yr are fugly. there is a 29.99 winter jkt at kohls that i want to check out in person. if i don't like it i guess i will end up w/ another pair of socks. i hope when i wake up tomorrow there will be better black friday news.

I'm surprised that SD isn't going crazy today. Not only is there a deal in the weekly thread that's at least as good (if not better) than last week's epic deal but there's more, too. I'm going back out to check out a couple more stores.

You aren't kidding. I've been here 6 or 7 weeks and I've got around 12,000 total hits. I used to get that in a weekend. Not that it matters. The only hit I care about is the one Ronda Rousey got last Saturday night. Now Mayweather wants to teach her how to box. That should be interesting. I still say that she'll end up with Freddie Roach as her boxing coach. Canelo over Cotto this Saturday. It should be a good one. I can't bet though. Canelo is 4/9 and Cotto is 28/11. I'd have to take Cotto but I just don't see him winning.

i think some of it was you used to talk about deals more, some of it was you were more entertaining w/ igor and some other sd'ers and some of it is b/c it's in the lounge. here you are a whole different person. from what i understand, there are a lot of spiders roaming around sd looking for deals. probably less spiders in the lounge. so maybe take comfort that the 12,000 hits are mostly real live eyeballs compared to the replicators in the DG forum.

It's a tough situation. The lounge regulars don't want me here and some people in the drugstore thread... well, I'll leave it at that. It boils down to this. I'm not a social media person. I've never been on twitter and it's takes me 15 minutes to post something on fb and the last time I posted on fb is when wags still had good deals (so, decades ago). I talk to people on here like it's a regular conversation and I got offended in the drugstore thread by something which was very mild by social media standards but like I said I'm not a social media person. I lost my interest in doing stories when people couldn't see the difference between what I had my characters do and what I would do myself. Like I said, it wasn't a big deal at all by social media standards but it felt to me like a knife in the back. I guess it was just the wrong post at the wrong time...

this thread belongs in deal talk -- not here. Staples is not a drug store or grocery store. This isn't an all B&M forum -- it's a drugstore and grocery store B&M forum. Sorry, but with the thread icons gone, having more irrelevant threads in the forum just makes navigating the forum that much more annoying (and a pox on the fool who thought removing the thread icons was an "improvement").

That's the best deal but CVS was mobbed yesterday and people are all over it. If you can find a kit, chances are it won't have a q inside the box. People are using the q on 2 of the $20 items (clearance at $5.37) and leaving the kits. It totally sucks since it's actually theft since it's not a peelie, it's part of the kit.

CVS's in my area are rarely, basically never, mobbed.

i actually have 2 threads here in the lounge and lounge regulars have never said anything to me. one was in the DG forum and some idiot complained that he thought it was a deal thread when the title quite obviously said ***chat*** just like all the other b&m chat threads and it was summarily moved to the lounge and died. it was doing ok until then.

there isn't really much interest in staples clearance amongst hot dealers, all they are interested in is ream, case paper and FAR software to cash out their rewards and for resale and the few regulars who are interested like to go OT and i was being bullied at the time so i needed a more relaxing forum so i created the staples lounge. which reminds me, i should post the black friday 1¢ ream paper deal there and i think some totes were cheap and a labeler, i forget which weeks.

i've never been on twitter either. i couldn't remember if i'd ever set up a twitter acct, so i searched my emails yesterday, looking to see if i had, and couldn't find anything. a friend had used a hashtag and i thought she wanted me to go to it to see something but ends up she was just trying to emphasize that she IS a social media person, the hashtag exists but it was to nothing. i searched both twitter and ig and couldn't find what she'd been talking about so i was confused.

you don't think so but you are a social media person. you are supposed to talk like you are chatting and having regular conversations and people get offended or have fights on social media all the time. actually slickdeals used to be way more entertaining. it used to be like the elementary school playground where we'd be telling people to hurry and go read the entertainment. there used to be a lot of and posted. you rarely see these emoticons anymore. over the yrs slickdeals has become way more straight-laced and boring. i used to say i was here 50% for the deals and 50% for the entertainment. but these days there is a paucity of entertainment, you had been the majority of it for awhile.
