A fun little word that I've had to learn in the last week.
Guess who is going in for surgery number 13?
At least I think it's 13.. I kind of lost track along with body parts..but this time I get some shiny new parts added like metal cage and screws..
Anyone have experience with this? Do tell...

Rough night and morning... severe pain in my right foot/big toe/ball of foot.
Couldn't sleep much, just touching my foot makes me want to cry.
Called surgeon's office and got in an hour after they opened. They think it's just the nerves readjusting... said that although weening off the pain meds is good.. I might have tried too soon. So they prescribed steroids for the inflammation (called it in to the wrong one...again) and handed me a script for the pain meds. Went to 3 CVS's and none had the pain meds in stock.. would be 10 - 14 days... *sigh* One of those didn't have a drive through so I hobbled in..
Gave up and went to Costco and hobbled in...they have it.. but would have been a 45 minute wait which my back is not up to.. so I left it and need to go back tomorrow during mad house hours.

I agree with you, it's best to get off the pain meds sooner, rather than later. Sorry to hear it was just a bit too soon.
