A fun little word that I've had to learn in the last week.

Guess who is going in for surgery number 13? laugh out loud
At least I think it's 13.. I kind of lost track along with body parts..but this time I get some shiny new parts added like metal cage and screws.. Whee

Anyone have experience with this? Do tell...

Sorry you are still feeling so poorly, Jane Frown hug Did the Dr. give you an idea of how long it will take to get back to feeling (at least somewhat) better?
It is different for everyone really but my understanding that 4 to 6 months to feel "better" then it can take a year to yeah and a half to feel normal again.

Mrs. Frog pet-sit for an Irish Wolfhound named Sophie for several years, until her mom moved out of town. We miss the dear girl. Not only was she a sweetheart of a dog, she lived less than a half-mile from our house.

I wish they had longer lifespans. It's getting better but still way too short.

We had neighbors when I was a little kid who had one named Meave... It would come out to the lagoon when it froze and I remember holding on to its collar and having it pull me around. I learned recently that they lost 2 Irish Wolfhounds to ...falling through the ice Sadwalk Frown Now I feel bad for playing with it on the ice.

They are biiiiig babies.

Today is a pain/achy day

I even caved in and took another pain pill. I really hate taking them but some days... I just have to function at least a little.

Frown hug You do what you gotta do. The pills are there to help you when you need them.It isn't "caving", it's managing your pain so that you can have a good quality of life!

I'm also hitting some emo phase of this too I guess. laugh out loud
I read about it..that depression can hit weeks after.

I think it's just the frustration of it taking so damned long to even feel sorta normal. Blah

TGIF as tomorrow and Sunday I can get out more and walk Bea.. nature ALWAYS helps

Walking is probably the very best thing you can do for yourself.
Fresh air, sun shine, exercise, and Bea.
It doesn't get any better than that!

Yeah and they say it really helps the fusing.
Trouble is.. I feel so guilty walking without her and she won't go more than ...maybe one house away, first thing in the morning. Then I have to get to work...even though it is from home.

We're starting to hit the hot hot days... not quite super bad yet but I know they are right around the corner. If you don't walk before like 7:30AM... it's too hot the rest of the day and night.

I'm going to have to allow myself a couple of 20 minute breaks to walk at like 10 am and then maybe 2 or 3 PM (then the 7 pm one is off hours anyway) before it gets too hot.

I bought a nice treadmill for Christmas that I only used a month before things got bad...

I moved one of the recliners into that room to make room for my stupid walker and the laptop desk I needed to use to work from the other recliner.

Might not have been a good idea to move that recliner back to the living room myself yesterday laugh out loud
What? It's on tile floor and I just slid it into place.. yeah...prob still wasn't a good thing to do laugh out loud

But I wanted to get the treadmill accessible again.
Dr said to not use one for a while and instead to walk outside..to help prevent falls. but I think I'm good enough now to maybe use the treadmill on a nice slow speed for 1 mile intervals ...
