Are there any runners in the Lounge? OT is fine as long as it has something to do with you running.

So I started Couch to 5K this year, and today I begin week 4, day 1. I'm finding this to be easier overall than I expected it to be.
Who here runs religiously, and what advise do you have to give to someone just starting out, such as myself?
Motivation is not a problem. I find myself looking forward to each run so far.

I love that guy - have seen him live twice.
3.38 miles
41:58 total time
12:25 avg pace
However, my last 1/10 of a mile, I sprinted an average of 6:58 min/mile.
I hurt! Especially my shoulders and feet. Legs are more or less fine.
Plus, since I like boobies a great deal, they are pink!!

I tried a treadmill and HATED it.
So on my trip to Seattle, I ran from the Seatac airport on International to the top of 170th and back. It was a nice two mile run with a steadily increasing elevation all the way to the summit of 170th. The run back down was a bit challenging also, since parts were fairly steep.
This was Friday morning. I'm still feeling the burn!

TBH, it's not the best beer either, there are much better breweries in the PNW, so I'm not sure why they do so well.
Get some music or a podcast. Find the trick that sends your brain away for a while. Run.
Now I do ~3 miles every day at work. For a while I thought I couldn't do it without music but one day my headphones died and I could still get to that Zen place. I figure a lot of crap out on that treadmill, too.
Keep at it & eventually if nothing else you'll Stockholm Syndrome yourself into liking it.

I am excited for the weather to cool off a bit so I can run on the street again.

And I had to do it WAY more than three times before I started just tolerating a treadmill. Hundreds of runs later I'm actually sort of looking forward to it. It gets easier...
