I did this offer too. I just received my box a few minutes ago. All the party instructions are in spanish though, so I am not sure where I am supposed to upload photos, info, etc? There is actually some really neat stuff in here, I'm getting together with many women in our family this weekend anyway and I'm sure they'll all be glad to receive these little gift baggies. I guess I can take pictures and figure out how to post them later?

hmm.. www.todobebe.com/fiesta [todobebe.com] is bolded in the instructions.. there is probably some instructions there that I can copy/ paste into a translator.
I got mine yesterday..Since everything is in spanish ( I thought the book/brochures would be both) I am going to make the bags and drop them off at the pregnancy place that caters to Spanish speaking people..I will do that next week since I have classes everyday on that side of town..

half the family at our get together is Spanish.. I'm wondering if they'd think I was weird though if I asked them to translate this for me in exchange for their gifties. laugh out loud

ok ladies i am posting this on here because i know someone on here has some advice..

I have been a sah mom now for about two weeks, and I am having a hard time adjusting. My DD is 6, and besides being sassy, not really a problem.

Any advice on how to make the change easier... I have worked from home the last 2 years, and used to being at home, but this is a whole new thing. I didnt think I would have as hard as time with it as I am.. Any advice is appreciated.
I started being a SAHM 18 years ago and went back to work full time 5 years ago after finding myself a single mom! I LOVED being a SAHM. The thing I missed most was adult conversation. I enrolled my son in classes at the YMCA where he would play and I would get to talk with the other moms. We had a play group twice a month at someone's house in the neighborhood, and I went to McDonald's playland quite a bit in the winter months. In the summer we would do lots of things that were free...go to the nearby zoo, or the beach or a park. When the kids were older and in school, I would volunteer at their school. It also gave me more time for bargain shopping! I miss that now that I'm working full-time. I'll never regret giving up my job though to stay home with them. I loved that time in my life! woot

anyone here have yard sales with their stockpiles? im gearing up for one on saturday!
Yup. I'm going to have another one in a few weeks. I usually price things a little less than 1/2 of what they would sell for at the store and have sold LOTS! Medicine didn't go over well, but toothpaste, shampoo, bodywash, soap, licorice & M&Ms sold like crazy!

Brick & Mortar. As in the actual store, not online.

Ok this sounds dumb, but I can't keep my charcoal lit. Frown My nice big bags of kingsford are not easy light, so I used lighter fluid. I don't want my meat tasting like it though, so I don't want to use a lot...anyone have any suggestions or links?

thanks!

Well mine just thinks going "poo-poo" in the potty is going to kill him, so he doesn't go at all!
That is actually very common for little kids. Dontknow why, but it usually takes longer to get the hang of that.

Has anyone done the Zout FREE rebate? The form says to send the original UPC from the back of package. I haven't bought it yet, but I know it comes in a plastic bottle! Does the UPC barcode peel off? One bottle will probably last me almost forever, so the rebate would be over by the time it's empty!

There is a device that plugs in, and you set the charcoal on top of it for about 10 minutes. You then remove the device and the charcoal continues to burn. It looks like an oval loop of thick wire with a handle and a cord.

Alternately, some people use a large metal can with a handle, and vents at the bottom. You wad up newspapers and put the charcoal on top. Then you light the newspaper. When the coals are burning, you dump them into the grill.

Hope that helps!!!

Thanks! I think my dad used the latter method so I will have to try that out.

I am definetly seeing I need a routine, I am guessing we live close, because we are the only ones in the country that has a free zoo. Went to San Diego the first of June and couldnt force myself to pay to go to the zoo there, made no since when i had a free one back at home. Just found out that there is a 99% chance DH is getting laid off tomorrow... How scary.

That's great to hear that they will take those monitors. A lot of CVS people stocked up on them b/c they were free. I have tons of those Qs too and will gladly send them to the ones who buy and donate, like you're doing. The good thing is that the expiriration date is 3/2009 - plenty of time to get them.

Too bad there's no cheap way to stock up on strips. Monitors are useless without strips, which are more expensive.
I'd be glad to take these off your hands, just PM me. I work for the Health Dept and go to approximately 20 Office for the Aging flu clinics in the fall....believe me, I take all of mine in and they act like it's Christmaslaugh out loud ! Matter of fact, we have to make it first come, first serve since I usually only take 6 or 7 to each clinic, but could definitely find a good home for any of them.

WOW!!! That is scary! I will Pray for you guys!! Let us know what you find out!!!

On the topic of the San Diego Zoo, it is SOOOO worth the $$$!!!! I promise, it is an amazing zoo!! I have a membership to the San Fran Zoo and it is a sad comparison to the SD zoo!!! I recommend everyone going there!! I lived in SD when I was growing up and I took soo much stuff there for granted, all the museums and parks there are AMAZING!!! We would go to the Ruben H Fleet center every year for school, I was always like "this again" now I wish I lived closer to be able to take my kids at least once a year!!! Sadwalk

It was pretty easy to get the barcode off. First I used an exacto knive (razor edge) to lightly slice the paper. Then I peeled up one corner and it came off pretty easily.

I do have some extra of these forms if anyone needs one. Says offer expires 6/30/08, so I'd need to get it off to you pretty quickly so you could get it in the mail. Requires UPC and original receipt.

This was going to be my suggestion. I love that our food no longer tastes like lighter fluid!

And I think Target carries these - or they used to at least at this time of the year.

EEK! Wow, let us know, that wouldn't be good at all.

Where are you located? I hate to add on alot of expense to ship them to you. Do they need to be in the original box? I have a bunch, & a couple of options to donate them locally, I am just happy to share wherever they'll do the most good and actually get used.

I know one mom told me one time that while her insurance covered the expense, her DD (under 10) needed to have one at multiple locations at a time, and insurance wouldn't pay for that many.

I grew up in California and never managed to make it to the San Diego zoo. The Dallas and Fort Worth Zoo's are very nice! The Austin Zoo is just sad, and the San Antonio zoo is sad compaired to Dallas and Fortworth, but leaps and bounds better than Austin. If you ever go to Denver with your family I Loved that zoo because of the polor bear exhibit! The zoo in Fresno, Ca is nice but pricey for what they have. This is the zoo I grew up closest too and I remember it when some of the exhibit's where new and it has a run down feel to it now.

I sooo wish there was a free zoo new me!
We do utilize the YMCA for there pool usually, but they are all so far from me right nowFrown A lot of places have city run pools as well, and they are generally very reasonable, like $2-4 per person for residents.

We got stir crazy this afternoon and ran to Hutto to use up some q's at walmart and walgreens, no Target there thoughFrown
