Ive gone too deep on youtube...someone HELP!

5,683 476 April 8, 2016 at 12:26 PM in Chat
What started out as normal browsing on youtube has led me deep into the bowels of the web.

I started watching a guy on a bike getting into arguments with cars that almost hit him...that led to brake checking big rigs and cars getting destroyed...which somehow led to nolan ryan getting into a fight on the mound...now im watching ballboy/girls make really great catches along with people in the stands catching foul balls.

I currently have 15 tabs open in chrome...all of which have videos im interested in watching.

What should be my next course of action? Ive just blown 3 hours of my life and want it to stop!

Where can I get a job like this?!?!?!? Every place I've ever worked the bosses practically stand over you making sure you're not even taking a half second to catch your breath. Mad

Hell. I worked for UPS through a temp agency like 10 years ago. They regulated everything right down to the amount of freakin' facial hair their employees could actually have(which I still think was a crock of shit).

Even worse was they had the CD drives on the PC's you were working on locked down/out, so instead of listening to a CD while you did the mind numbingly dull data entry you got to listen to the cacophony of smokers hacking up a lung and the idle chit chat of the office hens cackling back and forth(YAWN).Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
This is something I'm actually very happy they do. Since I dislike facial hair and my husband works for UPS. Hide

To each their own. Stick Out Tongue But to me my facial hair is like part of my personality, part of who I am. Plus I distinctly despise it when companies try to see how far into people's lives they can reach for control. Stick Out Tongue

It's one thing if I was working in a place preparing food(although even then I'd wear a 'beard net' along with my hairnet) but I was in some stuffy back office and not even out in the public areas save for lunch/break time.

So for the entirety of my stay I rocked my best 70's porn star mustache that almost went below my top lip(in violation of their "policy") out of protest rather than shave clean. I think I've stayed clean shaven for all of 6 months total over the last 20 odd years.

Corporations own your body whether you realize it or not. Try going to Colorado, get baked all week...then come back to a state that doesnt legalize weed and have them do a drug test on you. Lets see how long you have your job.

There is a hospital where I used to live that when they hire you...you cannot use tobacco products...chew or smoke. If at any time during employment you are caught you are fired. Get busted on the weekend...you're done. Seems fair though right?

No, they don't.
Even in CO a company can still fire you for failing a drug test if that's their policy.
You have the choice to decide where you work, if you disagree with their policies, don't work there Dontknow

They absolutely do...they dictate what you can and cannot do if you are employed by them.

I agree you have a choice and can leave anytime...but when you're under their wing its by their rules.

Ive never worked at a place that didnt have a drug policy. Sure some may not test...but check any HR manual...guarantee theres a section dedicated to this. Guess everyone should be self employed huh?

You clearly have a very different definition of "ownership" than I do, then.
