CVS Info:

First of all, you will need a CVS ExtraCare card. This is obtained easily at any store at the register. Some will ask you to fill out the form then and there, others will just give you the card and ask you to return the form later.

Once you have the card, you can now start CVSing

The biggest thing to understand is that CVS uses a promotional program called "ExtraCare Bucks" (commonly abbreviated as ECBs.) These print out on your receipt immediately once you purchase an item offering them; almost like an instant-rebate you get at the register. You can turn around and use them anytime on almost anything in the store, except for alcohol, cigarettes, and gift cards.

Often, CVS advertises items as "Free after ECB" – For example, throughout the month of November, CVS has Crest Pro Health Whitening Toothpaste in 4.2 oz size, for free after ECB. The cost is $3.49, but you get $3.49 back instantly on your receipt. The best part is that there are often coupons available that can actually help you earn money… like for the above toothpaste, there are $1 off coupons available, meaning the item would be $2.49, but you get $3.49 in ECBs back. The limit on this toothpaste for this month is 2. So if you wanted to start off small to get into CVSing, the thing to do would be to buy one toothpaste in the first transaction (and use a coupon if you have one, so that you either pay $3.49 or $2.49 in cash), then use the $3.49 ECBs you get back from that first transaction to pay for the second tube of toothpaste, and again, receive $3.49 more in ECBs.

The trick now is to roll your ECBs so that you rarely pay more than maybe a dollar or two in tax on transactions, instead using your ECBs from previous transactions… then earning more to keep doing the same. It's a cycle (and a game/addiction to some, lol.)

anyways, quick update on my life since I've been MIA

DD1 is 2.5 yrs old and in preschool. She has several boyfriends Angry2 Who's the NRA SD'er that I need to consult with?

DD2, Natalie "Yuhn-Ah" was born in March 2009. Healthy as a horse, although slightly sick recently. Spitting image of DD1. Muuuuch calmer personality.

DW is still hot and everyone still asks me "why'd she marry you?" Angry

Ok, we do the warm bath EVERY night. Fill up his little belly...and yes a BFed baby can sleep 9 hours, just ask Bargoon. M is only THREE DAYS older and is a fanatstic little calm baby. I let him fuss, which always leads to crying then to shrieking, then to SCREAMING...he'll never put himself back to sleep. I don't have much problems putting him down drowsy, he's getting better about falling asleep on his own. He even lets me put him down awake in the mornings and falls asleep on his own. It is STAYING ASLEEP that this little shitake mushroom has problems with, he can't make it past one sleep cycle 13 weeks of this BS is getting old!!!
You got a calm child with mini-thrift. If I have another, I bet I'll get the opposite too!

i just googled 'em real quick and found a great link: http://marvel.com/news/comicstori...s_Series_1

i think between my brother and I, we had a lot of series 1 & 2 cards and some series 3. then i think we stopped

well they gotta be somewhere at my parents house (unless my mom threw them away! Frown )
mine were series 3. i was buying the packs then i saw a guy in chinatown had the entire series for like 15 bucks laugh out loud

that place was awesome. my cousins were comic collectors in the day and this store had the venom series of spiderman autographed with COA. they asked a lady working there how much it was. she looked at the list price and charged them something like 10 bucks for the entire thing. i think they were selling ti for 500 or something at the time

argh... I had this talk with AM before, weren't you here for the lecture???

Look! it's so much easier to hit your kids using an inanimate object such as a stick, metal coat hanger, a paddle, a paddle with a nail driven through... I mean, seriously. WTH???

when you have boys, that's how you discipline them. We know of no other way of learning... anything.

I do have boys. My oldest will be 16 years old on December 2nd. He can be a little shit but for the most part I have four FANTASTIC and respectful children, which hasn't always been an easy task since I raised them on my own.

I might be a sucker at times but I'm hard on my kids and expect a lot from them. People expect them to fail since they're from a single parent home. They're proving others wrong Big Grin That said, they aren't perfect (well, my 14 year old daughter is pretty damn close.)

While having both sets of parents are always better, all things being equal... a truly dedicated single parent is always >>>>>>>>>>>> two neglectful parents.

I think you're doing fine. You just need to detach yourself from the object you use to punish the children.

For instance, if you make your kids hold up heavy objects as punishment, just leave the room for about an hour (be sure to set up a video camera to keep them honest).

If you hit your kids with a paddle, just sing "row row row your boat" and pretend you white river rafting.

The important thing is, at the end of the day, your kids know who's boss. (The one that can physically hurt them.)

I've answers/written over 400 PMs in the past few weeks. I'm very very proud of myself.

Course personal PMs get buried and it takes me awhile to answer those but still...lol.
