Yes, I would also be upset if I had a mentally challenged child, and people thought all they could aspire to is to be Target managers. They can have much more productive lives than that.

I'm not on today but after reading her post, I'm going to be even more careful than I've been. That's not good if they're tracking people down.
Someone else had problems last year with a similar thing. She never really elaborated, but did PM me and said to be very careful about the coupons I was using (expired, not for what they were meant for, etc), and that paying with cash would be a good idea. I don't remember who she was, but it was a pretty dramatic warning. Just like Oranges. Maybe she can tell us what happened. Cool

whats PP
I don't know if anyone ever answered you, but if not PP stands for Peter Pan Peanut Butter. There were some $5 Barbie/Hotwheels sporting goods Peelies on the jars.

I don't like reading what Oranges said that they called her on her cell phone to ask about her order/coupon use. This is why you should use cash. This doesn't mean you are doing anything wrong, it just means you don't want your coupon/product use tracked. I have often wondered about those who use expired coupons and pay with a credit card, especially EMQ's. I don't think it wise to do so on a credit card. Using an ETQ is probably one thing, but using a EMQ is quite another I would think.

I remember Whee giving such a warning early this year or late last year. She said remember they can see things from your credit card use, and from GC's spent bought from overages.

I do have a mentally challenged child and I accept your apology. I was not offended though in the first place. Actually if he got a job as a Target manager, I would be thrilled!! I understand the point you were making.

On the topic of the cell phone call from T...I had that happen to me a while back, but the situation was different. I had called CS from my cell. They never asked for contact information, but the lady called back to clarify something we had spoken about later on that number. So that might be another way T has of pulling a cell phone number.

I don't know how they would link that to your purchase though. That seems like it would be a bit more difficult.
This was my thought also. If she called Corp from the cell while in the store they could talk to store and match it up.

How do the buy 2 get one free work for the glade candle things? I know how to use BOGO but not B2G1.

I would bring the receipt and coupons to the guest services desk and ask them to add them as the cashier neglected to scan them. I don't think you have any questionable coupons at all, and they should easily be accepted. I had a horrible cashier once, stopped her in the middle of scanning, and just said I'd have gs adjust my receipt. Got $41 cash from coupons. Worth a try, at least, instead of returning stuff!
Thanks, you are right it could be worth a try although I'm a little leery of them taking the furfighter and the exp $5/$50. I should at least take my raincheck and have them apply that and one of my last few barbie/hotwheels peelies.

Things have changed in a matter of days..if you dont want it ..dont buy it..dont need it dont buy it...if ya dont want to pay for it..dont buy it...these coupon deals are not gonna pay you 100% of the time anymore...its sad..its horrific...its life...Find a way to adjust and move onto the next 75%-90% off run...Cool
I appreciate the advice and agree with you somewhat because I really almost never return. 2 runs in the past week with durex denied and the only thing I took of my order was the durex and I'm not returning anything. I just felt like this cashier was exceptionally shady about the whole thing and that is why I feel determined to get a portion of my money back, I guess. I have to COMPLETELY disagree with you on the bolded part though. laugh out loud Ask almost anyone here, we buy things we don't need to help pay for the things we do need! Also, just to clarify, when I said I don't *need* these things, for some of them I just meant I don't have a need for them right this minute - we do use the diapers and wipes, buddies and carefree but I have a decent stockpile right now, I get the fur fighters for my sister and mil.

Anyway thanks to both of you for responding. I'm still torn between just letting it go completely and possibly taking the q's to guest services and giving it a shot.

Here's your best place to start for CVS:

CVS rocks! On a side note, many CVSers are feeling the pinch like T shoppers. CVS has been changing certain aspects of their coupon and redemption system, and each store, each clerk, really, institutes its own rules. I had a clerk kick back a Colgate Total q from All you b/c I was buying Colgate Total advanced. WTH? I was in a hurry and said, well just take it off my tab, sweetheart, and give me my q back.

Interesting stockpile sale today.

I had another guy (when I had my back turned) squirt a palm full of the Nivea shave gel into his hands. We're talking enough for 5-6 shaves. It's that kind of shave gel that lathers up like crazy as soon as you squirt it. I turn around and this grown man had a HUGE palm full of white shaving cream. I look at him square in the eyeball with this look of "you have GOT to be kidding me." He looks at me with his palms up and gives me this look like "do you have any water, what can I do about this?" I turned around and left him to figure it out. I could have offered him my spigot beside the house, but I was too irritated-- and HOT! It felt like it was 100 degrees outside! I'm in no mood for crap and nonsense! He ended up trying to wipe it off in my grass, which made an even bigger mess for him because DH had just mowed the lawn the day before so he was covered in grass clippings AND shaving cream.
What a jerk. Imagine his car while he was driving home. He got what he deserves. Good job on the yard sale!

Not all GUY cashiers are Jedis. Mad

The young guy cashier at my store likes to stick his face in MY checkout lane to "warn" my cashier that I have coupons. His job was pushing carts at the time, but he made sure that he stopped by to give this warning. Confused As he started to say something, he saw me glaring at him with the expression, "Get your nosy face out of my sight, kid!!!" He walked away and the red phone RANG. I bet my cart that the nosy kid was on the phone. This was the 3rd time it happened.

All I heard was, "Ok, how am I supposed to do that?" The cashier did stopped to check the 1st few Qs, but got frustrated and K1'd away. I didn't have anything questionable, just a few that beeped like Stayfree Qs.

Question: How do I get this kid to stay out of my business? Report him?

As I was leaving, he glared at me the whole time that he pushed the carts across the parking lot. EEK! I want to teach him a lesson, but I'm not a vicious person. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
I had a kid like that @ My Target too. He hated me AND coupons. I orginially approached him b/c he appeared to be a cute teenage boy, usuaullly my cashier of choice. He would glare at me every time I walked through the store. I haven't seen him in ages, thank goodness. Maybe he's upper MGTment at corporate now?

Hi wave in DFW. I was thinking about making the trek to the store closing. Think it is worth the drive? I wonder if more stuff will be added to clearance?

To answer your earlier question about downtown store...I have been there a few times. When I take my daughter to her eye doc I stop in. Found some good deals there but not my favorite store. Lake Worth is by far the better store for deals in DFW although it seems that other people are catching on. Keller is a coupon Nazi store! Been given trouble there too many times!!
Nah, too many people know about it and all regular priced items will be moved- so it probably isn't worth your time. They close tomorrow at 5 p.m.

Watauga - is that the store you are talking about when you say Keller? I've heard from many people that store is awful. Thanks for the info.

Yep. Watauga. That store is AWEFUL!!! They like to flip the switch when they see coupons coming. I think that is pure harASSment!!!

I will be in the Ridgmar area today. Off topic another post said Old Navy is having a big sale. The one in the mall rocks for discounts!

Let you know if the deals got better.

I totally understand what you mean about some not so good items paying for the good stuff...what I meant was maybe we need to go back to shopping as if NO coupons will work...in other words put only the things in your cart that you would buy if you had no coupons (things you need) and then when the coupons dont work out as planned your not stuck with this huge OOP that you feel you need to recoup? I dont put anything in my cart lately that I wont pay for if things go south...I just dont want that added label and stigma if they really start looking at runs and coupon usage...they have the ability and I would rather not have them using my footage for some docudrama...lol

I had to send hubby out to T last weekend for a cool mist humidifier for the lil guy as he had a really bad URI and croup bordering on RSV so in my haste to make him more comfortable I sent him without coupons..:EEK! ...called ahead and had them hold the item at GS and he just picked it up and paid....got home and went to get the lil guy set up for the night, opened it up and it was USED!! The filter was already yellow and discolored, cord not wrapped, and water marks all over the housing...I was Mad ..not only for being sold a used item but especially that type of purchase where germs and such are why the lil guy is sick in the first place..Hubby returned it yesterday and I expected a hassle...but they said whoever pulled that item should have seen it had been returned once and not sold it to a guest...no apology Qs tho..shucks!!Stick Out Tongue

I went to CS yesterday to get a gift reciept, and decided to combine a few (6 to be exact) gift cards on to my one high balance card. The CS employee remarks how fast and easy it was. She said she had someone in a few days ago that had 100 GC's from her wedding shower. I was like "Wow how much did she end up with?" She said "$500 exactly, there were all $5 to start with." It was all I could do not to bust out laughing in her face. Mind you this is in a Upper Middle class location.
If this was someone on this board...thanks for the laugh!
