When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! I found another match on the 5-digit mfg code for the HotWheels peelies at Kmart yesterday. Monster trucks! The small to medium sized Grave Digger in particular. Not sure about the codes or prices at Target, but it might be worth a check! They were 4.19 at Kmart, but I didn't actually buy one because I found the $1 cars by the check-out. The monster truck should have worked for .81 overage though and would be a nice change from the cars...
I also saw similar trucks at Walmart, for 2.xx. Didn't get them because ... well, not sure why, but the code matched.

Quote from thuctrang :
I thought I would read chit-chat 1st b/c it's shorter, but came back to 4 pages. EEK! Too much talk about salsa & ice cream. I don't think that is a very good combination. vomit

Well, there DO seem to be an awful lot of pregnant women around - sounds like a combination only hormones could come up with!!! Big Grin And btw, I also am expecting, due December 11. Finding out this week what we're having! Yay! Smilie This will be our third. We already have an almost-three-year-old and a 20-month old. Crazy!!! But we have been so blessed with beautiful, healthy children, I can't wait to meet this new one. Smilie

I am getting ready for a stockpile yard sale this weekend, and started an "inventory" of my junk this afternoon. So far, I have:

Windex - 23 bottles
Shout - 5 bottles
Pledge - 4 bottles
Easy-Off Bam - 4 bottles
Scrubbing Bubbles - 2 bottles
Febreeze Air Effects - 6 bottles
Kleenex - 22 boxes
Oral-B - 11 (not counting the ones I purchased tonight!)
Colgate - 32 (???????? Big Grin)
Suave body wash - 4
Olay Body wash - 10 (not counting ones purchased tonight)

I know this is laughable compared to what some have stashed, but its pretty impressive for me. Smilie I haven't started counting my diapers, although I'm keeping most of them, due to my pregnancy and my sister's. But I will get rid of a ton of the wipes - I prefer Huggies wipes, and plus, who really NEEDS this many wipes?! Let's see, what else haven't I counted? Oh, all the travel size stuff - shave gel, deodorant, etc. Oh, and Buddy Bars! Can't forget them. I always sell those like hot cakes at yard sales.

Anyway, I know someone mentioned using printed signs for their pricing, and I am definitely going to do that. Any other tips on making this the most successful stockpile yard sale EVER?! Big Grin

I agree with megnsamgrace....and here's my problem with this person's post, basically these "newbies" have been taking everyone else's kool aid for months and not contributing, and that's ok? Yea...they probably aren't newbies, but if they can do runs with the best of them, then shouldn't they be contributing like the best of them???

THANK YOU! If people want to do these runs, then I totally think they should be contributing as well. I cant believe how many NEVER POSTED on a T thread users I got to PM me about P&G coupons! Sorry, aint gonna happen... I *think* I PMd everyone back that I HAVE seen post.. if I did miss you in the 100 or so PMs, I apologize

Quote from shopgirl24 :
not to mention they tend to be the smash 'n grabbers. and also.. if someone has been supposedly been reading up on the thread for a while you'd think they wouldn't be writing on a public board that which is warned of in the wiki. it's like saying, "i'm a n00b.. and here's my scam of a contribution, even though i've read everything and know the rules of the thread." Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
Yes! Thats my point! I shopped for almost a year with NO TROUBLE until recently! WHY? There are soo many more smash and grabbers than before. Granted, the economy sucks but why ruin it for everyone else??

Quote from schnauzermomma :
I tend to agree with the posts by megnsamgrace and jen2882... even though I was a seasoned poster on SD, had well over 2000 rep points and knew what I was doing - backwards and forwards - at CVS and WG, I would bet I still just read along on the Target thread for several weeks.

I only posted on the Target thread once I could provide some type of helpful info. But I went out of my way a few times to look for something someone had asked about - prices, availability, sizing - so I could offer up a useful post or two here. I did not want to be someone who just 'took' and gave nothing back.

Also, when I couldn't figure out a deal, I just didn't do it. I decided that if I wasn't smart enough to figure it out by reading along, I didn't have any business going into a Target and attempting the deal, as that might just screw it up for others. I truly wonder how many of the things that have happened over the last few months were due to those who were overzealous and couldn't be happy with a 'great' deal.

I honestly think that a LOT of posts give almost everything away that ANYONE could read and get it. Well okay, since some things cant be mentioned, I think some parts are missing. But if someone sent me a genuine email that they TRIED and READ, I would help them out in a PM. But people need to READ.. .and not just a page or two. Go back a few days (yes, I know there are LOTS of posts a day)

Quote from toyresellers :
It is incredible to me that you 2 think you have all Newbies pegged. Have you ever given any thought to the idea of someone closing one acct and opening a new one? Over and over I have read, "Where is whee?" "Where is bjhac?" "Where is so and so?" Do you think it is possible that they get sick of people constantly asking them to do things so they just start fresh with a name no one would tie to them? They were always helping people, weather they were new or not. Maybe ya all should learn from them.
Never said I had ALL n00bs pegged.. but a LOT! Seen quite a few here since Christmas toy Qs came out! And Whee and BJ etc would never come and post like you are suggesting

Now, I am not up for a fight, thats just not me. But I think that if people legitimately want some help, contribute here as well! Or just read back 4-5 days and try and figure it out. Most clues are RIGHT there in front of you.

Thanks for the help! I clicked on the help button on a couple of the only help it offered was to troubleshoot the coupon printer software...maybe I have to print some first?
These are the ones that don't offer to mail them to you. Just keep trying. Some will and some won't. I'm always sad to see that page. Especially the good ones.

I agree. A child can never have too many books. You can tell a dramatic difference in education for those that had their own library at home and those who don't. And by who was raised and disciplined correctly and not! nod

Post lots of signs around the neighborhood and in the paper. Plus, sell water and cokes. It's too freaking hot outside!!

Well I am back in the swing stopped at 8 stores today, updated my siggy, LOL.

Got all my back to school stuff, yay for special uniforms, have those covered from the resell, all my supplies, DONE.

My first trip to CVS for July went twice, missed July stuff at WAGS, but got my Aug stuff started.

Had a wonderful cashier at my ST, YAY. Got overage for furfighter, Honey Bunches with the coupon I sent off for(free HB if you send in 5 MQ's), and BIC pens. Muir Glen back down to normal price, love .14 tomatoe sauce, reminds me of shopping with my mom when I was little, heehee. Got Kashi flakes using the Kashi Vibe Q, any tell me if they are worth triing compared to Kellogs corn flakes? Should I just donate them?

Feels good to be homeBig Grin

Hey y'all. No time to catch up on posts but here's our scoop. DS was not admitted but his sugars are still really high, the last reading actually said "Hi" instead of a reading.
Awe, so sad for DS. Stay strong and try to get some rest, I know it's hard when your so worried. DD does not have the same thing but she still has to have a shot every night. I hate it but now that it has been two years it is a lot easier to do the shots.

Just want to Bonk and Head Bang and Bash and Dead Horse

This diaper deal has been going on for almost 2 months now and THAT'S ALL we can talk about in the deals thread??????

Every other page, there is the same question, "I have searched and searched but can't figure out the diaper deal."

Class: WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS POST????

I'm a mild person, but this is just too much.
  1. This person obviously didn't read "THE WIKI"
  2. This person obviously didn't read the PREVIOUS 10 pages
  3. This person obviously didn't READ!

The best answer to this kind of posts is to tell them, "READ THE WIKI." Don't start answering, because we will spend the next 3 pages with more questions and answers of the SAME 2-MONTH DEAL!

p.s. Yes, I'm SHOUTING! but no one's listening... Am I talking to my kids? Big Grin

make sure you have something cheap in your cart so it is not totally free and it should work. for example, got some freebies, then added a Thomas The Train DVD with bonus train (took $5 off, so it was like $5.99 -decent since the trains are like $12.99). It worked then. HTH! wave

actually I am new to the Target thread. I looked and found my answer when I dug deeper. The wiki is pretty long, and when I looked again I saw it. Also, NCMommy explained it very quickly which was very nice. This is my first time reading about the diaper deal! Can you believe it?! I wish I knew earlier! Frown

I think he's too strict and he thinks I'm not strict enough so then we're constantly getting mad at each other. We both try to make an effort not to contradict each other in front of her and just discuss it later, but what do you do with a two year old that thinks she's grown?? She has a chart, has no interest in it. We've done time-outs, swats on the butt, the corner, you name it.
I found this book really helpful. How to Talk So Kids Will Listen & Listen So Kids Will Talk [amazon.com] by Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish. I also like their Siblings Without Rivalry [amazon.com]. It's the positive discipline approach, and it works. It's not instantaneous, but if you keep with it, it does work. We need to re-read them again, one daughter seems to be revisiting the terrible twos big time. Rolleyes
