Need some advice for a Christmas present

12,104 277 December 6, 2016 at 04:01 PM
I want to get my wife a new blanket for Christmas. She has this one from a place called Restoration Hardware that she is obsessed with, and I would like to get her one like it (it's discontinued there) but bigger. She is obsessed with the fuzziness of it. She loves blankets that are really fuzzy and soft. So do you have a really good soft fuzzy blanket that you love and can recommend? This is a hard thing to shop for based on reviews and I would really prefer to get some first hand input from someone who has tried the prticular blanket and can attest to its softness and durability.

I would ideally like to spend less than $60 so if you have one that you can recommend that would be in my price range, I would really appreciate it. Thanks for your help Loungers!

Is this a throw blanket for the couch? If so check at TJ Maxx and Homegoods, they both carry a good selection of large throws and the prices are much better than at department stores.

Meant to say too, this time of year they usually have a large stock of throw blankets and put all of them on a hanging rack with the other seasonal items. I got one last year that was a solid color on one side and had white fluffy tufts on the other side, it's the softest throw I've ever found but the tag has come off and I don't know the brand name. Got it at Homegoods.

Kill a brown bear with your bare hands and present her with its pelt as a gift of your dedication.

That one looks really nice! Do you have one? Is it really soft and comfy?

Was there a particular one that you wanted to recommend?

I do have one. I like it. I rarely get to use it as the dogs have claimed it as their own but throws are too short for me anyway.

Was reading from the bottom of the thread up to the top and I knew exactly where you were talking about based on this post. I agree. I've gotten these blankets from TJ Maxx before and got one for my mom because they are so soft.

i purchase them in B&Ms and their tags don't have the type on them, so i'm not quite sure what i have. based on a quick scan of the Blankets section, i think the last one was an Prima-Lush and the previous ones have been Serasofts.

based on the given sizes, mine are Twins since i mostly use them for basic living room blankets, but they work well for layering on my queen bed (for just me).

I was looking for something fuzzier... closer to the one that Ray posted. We have some fleece blankets, which is what those Berkshire ones mostly look like, and she doesn't like them as much. The one she really loves has like faux fur on one side and that is what I think she likes the best. But I was hoping to get one bigger than a throw size because when she tries to sleep with it in the bed, her feet always wind up sticking out.
