there was one day like 6 weeks ago now where i was in Ralphs and one of those kraft tearpads that was nearly full just miraculously fell into my purse when i tried to only take a few. luckily for others there were still 3 full tearpads remaining after that little mishap.
but no i didn't have 69 of those coupons. the hot dogs are on special at our Albertsons buy 1 get 2 free. so.. throw in some koolaid and i was getting 3 free hot dogs for every 1 coupon. the first transaction i bought 24 hot dogs. (so.. buy 8 get 16 free) i used 1 hot dog coupon for every 4 hot dogs.. so 6 hot dog coupons. then on the remaining 2 i bought koolaid to use 2 more hot dog coupons and voila 24 free dogs after only 8 coupons.
subsequent transactions i bought 15 at a time. (buy 5, get 10 free) used 3 hot dog coupons based on the hot dogs themselves and 3 more because i was also buying 9 mac&cheese.
that doesn't account for all the other koolaid i bought to get my cheese and crackers though. let's just say i ended up just pulling a box of koolaid packets off the shelf and stuffing it full with the required amount i needed. for anyone who needs to know.. if you find a box of those still in the plastic wrap it holds 48 to begin with. at least my cashiers were appreciative that i had actually counted out all the packets and could tell them how many to 'quantity key' them in instead of scanning individually. they all said there are so many people who just grab a whole box or two but don't count how many there are.
(my koolaid also ended up being free because of the albies deal going on the crackers, cheese and dressing. i was getting $5 off the order for every $20 of kraft items i bought.
so umm.. yeah. i need to find that post again with ideas for koolaid usage other than drinking.
the best part about it all was i didn't even begin to touch what my Albies stores had in stock on each of the kraft items. i was able to get stocked up without feeling guilty, because there was TONS of product left at each store after i was done. the only item i did clear out wasn't a kraft item. it was some more fiber one yoghurts i had gotten a 2nd raincheck of 20 for. raincheck was for $1 each so those were all free after the coupon. they only had like 3 left on the shelf after i fulfilled the raincheck. they don't let you break up the raincheck, you have to get them all at once so really i didn't see any other way around that since i coudn't ask for separate rainchecks. (this was a 2nd raincheck because 1 store was oos, and so was another so i requested rc's for 20 more at both
Some days you just have to take the time to do all the errands that are piling up. Your DS was home with his daddy safe and sound - you shouldn't ever get reamed for anything
I did the same thing today - it feels good to get a bunch of little errands done.
I agree with Jen, Mama. Don't beat yourself up, what's done is done. Just stick with things you're comfortable with next time.
. . . . .Type to you guys. Sort through some SF envies sitting here.
I did like two things this evening and felt exhausted (partially b/c at WAG my least favorite manager ever was lurking and just would not go away! Had to check out with a new cashier with the manager guy checking out at the next register-- but all was well.
Got home, beat DH home by only like 5 minutes (little time to hide the evidence,

Because it's hot. August is almost over. I hate August.

Graco Snugride Car Seat Base & Stroller
Fabric: Grant Park
Was: $179.00 Now: $18.00 (#198 on box) some have reported seeing this at $65.00 at their K's, not as great as $18.00, but still a good deal if you need one, so YMMV. Saw it on another site and thought I would share. Also, Cosco Fleet Travel System Was: $110.00 Now: $10.00(#195 on box) and Evenflo Aura for $16.00(#190 on box). HTH someone who may need these!

I was looking in their ad, though, and saw some baby things I just may *have* to get to use up some of my HW peelies.
Also big wheels has gone down to 29.99..
I've always been obsessive when it comes to my house...until I started couponing..now it's upside down all the time
