We love you here. We all understand this addiction to coupons. I also am made fun of at work..at both of my jobs. On Thursday morning I was asked, "Did you go and buy more Pop Tarts?" Of course, they are snickering..When I my smile is big and replied. Yep! Others really don't understand the reason we do all this crazy coupon shopping.

But...I know I am feeding myself and my kids when they are home..I honestly try to keep all my out of pocket costs super low. Gas for my car, is almost $300 a month mainly for the reason of just driving back and forth to work. I know I will be laid off again at work this December for who knows how long? Usually it is 3 months. Then I return back to work. A crazy vicious cycle.

Remember we cannot help others unless they want to help themselves. We all must need to reflect on our own lives. The way are households incomes have switched because of coupons. Do we have more toys, more books? Planning trips we never could have before hand? Yes, because of coupons we all our life has been affected.

I met a gentleman at a retail store yesterday. His question was, "Are you successful?"
We all are successful here at SD. nod
I am addicted! ....and pretty succesful! laugh out loud I just have to thank all of you here for all your help understanding the Kelloggs deal at Target last week. I had to travel yesterday for my son's soccer game. I left at 9:00, the soccer game was at 2:00 and I got home at 11:00 EEK! I came home with TONS of pop tarts, RKT, Kellogs bars, cookies, TGIF, plus other stuff including 6 MM peelies!! Yahoo!
Thanks to all of you who are sending me the rebate forms. I'm going to use as many as I get since I have 7 receipts!! Big thanks to bobsgirl in southern WI, who told me where she found the FFS coupon booklets. I searched and found a Sentry store in Milwaukee and lucked out with a bunch of coupons!!
My freezer isn't freezing, because I think it's too full, so I brought 2 coolers full down to my Mom's have 2 coolers full in my basement and I'm defrosting it now. I just think it's too full! How much is too much???? Now, I'm cutting UPCs and have a question. How do I match the UPC on the box to the number on the Target receipt? None of the numbers seem to match up. Will it matter when sending in the rebate if I just send the correct number of pop tart UPCs with the number of pop tarts on the receipt? I want to have everything set to send in.
Thanks again. You're all the best! hug

Same problem here Frown All I know is that 071200169 is for the smores... Other than that, Im very clueless... I hope someone can help us Wink heart

So happy today... I was able to get DH his Wii fit... I know he's been wanting to get it for the longest time but haven't had luck finding it in stores. Since I have been doing the Poptarts Deal, I was able to get around $40 in GC and told him if Wii Fit will be in stock at T, im gonna get him one Smilie Next thing you know, its on their ad this morning and I called 3 Targets to check. 2 were out of stock but one had around 3... Now, all I have to do is encourage him to use it. He needs to exercise as his cholesterol and triglycerides are 2times than normal even with medications... Thank you to everyone who helped me and encouraged me to do the deals... It is very much appreciated... Smilie

any accounting people please help with this static problem...I just need to know the steps... I did this class 3yrs ago and can not figure out where to start...I

Objectives of assignment:

Develop a spreadsheet application designed such "that someone other than the developer can perform useful work without extensive training" (Walkenbach, Excel 2007, Power Programming with VBA, 2001, p 98). Link to a more extensive discussion of spreadsheet application from Walkenbach's book.
Turn accounting data into useful information by producing a management "decision support tool"
Expand Excel skill set beyond minimum COB requirements
The STATIC PROBLEM (shaded in yellow)
*SNIP*
Well, the problem with this problem is that you're trying to solve it on a Sunday when all Accountant's brains are officially not working. Damn, I thought it would be something like "If Bobby left at 4:00 and Susie left at 3:50, who would arrive at Target first if each had 6 miles to go, but Susie could drive at 35 mph and Bobby could only drive at 25"? You know, something that actually made SENSE! LMAO Good luck with this ... Smilie

I am a SAHM too. I was working throughout my pregnancy, but when I figured in daycare costs, I would bring home under 50.00 a week. So at home I have been. I have the baby who is 18 mo and a 14 yr old who just started high school.

Trying for another baby here, and then when they (hopefully) are in school I will go back to work.
You sound like me about 18 mos ago...I now have a 16 yr old daughter, 3 year old son, and a 6 mo old son. I stay home with the little ones and love it.

Yes there is, but I didn't have a Q to get $$ of transfering the RX, so I didn't get it Stick Out Tongue

Quote from ArielA :
Ok, I know that none of you are here, and that I shouldn't be pouting, but I am! I always try to help the CNA's at my job, letting them know when/where there are good sales at, since they all work with a lot less income than the nurses do. So tonight I told one of them about double Q's at our kmart and then I left. I came back to the nurses station and the new nurse was just finishing her sentance and I heard her say "it's not worth $0.30 savings for me" and then she laughed. Then the CNA's saw me and said "Oh Ariel, we were just telling XXXXX your dedication to sales/Q's." I replied that I like to do it and that just this week alone I got over $300 worth of stuff from K for $3.44. The CNA's all said that they know I do good, they are just not dedicated like me. Anyways, I am babling now, and I know that most ppl won't do the Q's like we do, but it hurt my feelings. I know that I shouldn't be bothered by this, and that in reality I should be laughing at them, but instead, I am all pouty....
Big hug Ariel!!! We all totally get it. DH thought I was nuts until he started realizing how much money we are saving. And honestly, I don't really tell many people about the full extent of my coupon use for this reason. My mom thinks it is neat and is thankful when I give her stuff, but she just wouldn't have enough time to do it herself. But other than that, I really don't talk to folks much about it. I'll hand out some Qs here and there and point people at a deal or two, but I just like to be under the radar.

I actually think that they are all jealous. Not everyone can do what we can do, but they would all like to reap the rewards. Just like lots of things, it takes hard work and preparation, and most people don't want to put in the work. So it's easier to poke fun at those that do... But we understand and think that you are great and are a deal master (or mistress Wink )!

Quote from Devilmomma :
I'd rather have the $20 million NOT to work. LMAO

*snip*
Me too, of course, but my point was that I'm not making $20 mil to work my toosh off, so I'd take a pay increase... happily!

Quote from ArielA :
WOW!!! You all are soo supportive Grouphug I honestly feel better!!! Thanks Before my shift was over one of them sat down and wanted me to show her SF stuff and I politely said that I wasn't going to be sharing anything more about deals bc of how they all handle it. She then told me that she is actually jealous of me and wishes she could understand how to do this all. (I have explained it all before) I was shocked! I never thought that they could be honestly jealous, just thought they were thinking I was Crazy
Yep - jealous!

I understand what you mean about your pet. We have an old lady cat who's been with us since my DH and I first started dating. We're not sure how old she is, but at least 12. Lots of health problems, though she keeps hanging in there. I don't know what we'll do without her.
My oldest kitty is my first DS - he was with me before I met DH even - just he and I. He is my baby and I cry when I think that he might not be around forever...

Doublesided - can you use the smartsource Qs for the Precision Xtra monitor or strips? Per the ad, Free at Wags AC...

Also, most of my inserts didn't have the electrasol Qs, but a couple of them did. I don't use Electrasol, but I think my mom does. Can someone fill me in on where I can use the Qs to get it free or cheap... or PM me if there are other uses... Wink

TIA!

Sounds like my night. I finally cleaned out my store of MM peelies-- got 7. I've been a good girl about these all summer, just taking one or two, but dang it, I was not going to let them sit there and expire! Wink

As far as the rebate, I don't think the Kellogg's peeps have any access to T's system, so it shouldn't matter as long as the UPCs match up to the type of product-- Pop Tart, RKT, or whatever. I wouldn't worry about the flavor too much.

So this is my 3rd day in 6 weeks, where I have flushed so many times I can't count it on my fingers and toes. with that in mind I know I have lost at least 12 lbs, laugh out loud

I only made one trip to ST this week, I sure everyone appreciates my staing away and not sharing my germsbounce Realized as I was walking out that I should have done two transactions so that my RKT and PT couild help pay for my new paper shredderMad
this is what happens when I shop sick.
