Free T-Mobile SIM card with new plan. Call 855-389-9733, mention promo code: APRILSWAP per https://swappa.com/buy/devices/t-mobile

Use that pre-paid card quickly if canceling lines, T-Mobile has been know to cancel pre-paid cards on closed lines (not that they have a legal right to, they have anyways).
The above is a complete load of crap.

You can use the Pre-paid card to buy a money order (with the pin)... USPS or even walmart, if doing it at walmart, swipe card than have them put in amount you are paying on that card... if your side shows processing, hit cancel and than debit. if the system goes straight to signature, something is being done wrong.

Max spend on card is amount of card up to 12 transactions or $1500 a day, so if you have a card for $1750, you will need to use the card over 2 days to use it up.

Tmo Press Release [t-mobile.com]

*Update April 18 - As of 4/1, the following free add-ons have been removed and are no longer offered with this plan: 10GB LTE hotspot, HD video streaming or double (256k/sec instead of 128k/sec) international data roaming included. You also can't get the 20% employee referral discount anymore

(4/18) IMO, you should wait to switch to T-Mobile, as these four perks above made the plan great and they're now gone. Wait until the next round of promos is announced, hopefully in the next few weeks.

No more HD Passes
https://twitter.com/SievertMike/s...8727443463

old faq showed you lose all free lines if changing to the all in plan. faq showed moving from 2 free lines to $130 for 4 lines ($30 discount) and $150 from 1 free line ($10 discount). the faq was removed Friday (or before Friday) and is available if cached somewhere on the internet, or someone can add it to the wiki (maybe).

if you switch to this new plan you will lose the 2 free lines you got last year around november, end of the story.

UPDATE: if you have the original t-mobile one plan you can now add the t-mobile one plus promo(10gb hotspot) in when you click to manage add-ons, not sure if is a glitch of the system or what but it did work for me, please note that i am posting this 02/22

UPDATED PLAN BREAKDOWN

What if I need more than 2 lines?

This special 2 for $100 offer is just for 2 lines but we have great rates if you need more lines! You can get 3 lines of T-Mobile ONE with taxes and fees included for just $140 a month with AutoPay! And if you need 4 lines, you can get our best rate of $160 a month with taxes and fees included with AutoPay! Additional lines are $20 each up to 8 lines and $30 each for lines 9-12.

Noticed this was not in the Wiki so figured Id add it. I used this code when i called and it worked!
Free T-Mobile SIM card with new plan. Call 855-389-9733, mention promo code: 317SWAP.

If you got charged for the SIM Card at the store and can't get the rep to give if for free -
- call this # 1.800.937.8997 and plead your case
- the amount +tax will be credited back to your account
- it helps to get the account setup first so you can see the credit in your account - almost immediately

Does T-Mobile Autopay accept credit cards? Verizon threw in a curveball and excluded credit cards from their autopay, however nothing would prevent you paying off the bill with a credit card before autopay draws from the accountWink
Yes, T-Mobile Autopay accepts credit cards

You can also get $10 back per paid line if that line uses less than 2 GB of data per month by signing up for kickback. Details here:

Plus taxes and fees. That makes it more like $35-55 more, but losing free international, free inflight wifi, free routers, and Tmobile Tuesday.
This is $100 all in - taxes and fees included. But at least this is creating more competition.
Looks like they will be including HD video & 10GB high-speed hotspot data on all One plans starting Friday as well.

I just switched over from att. The plan is a no brainer for me and the wife. We were coming from 2 lines with 6 gb of data for about $91 per month after corporate discount. Reception has always been pretty solid but the customer service left much to be desired. The people we spoke with at Tmobile were awesome and totally helpful. So far the service in my area is on par with att. I'm loving the fact that I now get unlimited data. The tmobile worker who helped us was an assistant manager and got us the two $150 rebates for switching from att and also got us the 20% lifetime discount. Also contacted tmobile as the speed in our store was slow and they are sending us a signal booster at no cost.

We know that the service will have its holes in suburban areas, but for what we gain we can't complain.

Well this thread turned into a code thread as opposed to discussion thread. There goes me checking for people's experiences and issues with swapping plans..... GG
I get it when it happens when many people have codes, but there can't be enough codes to go around that an appreciable proportion of people asking for them here are getting them. And it seems proven by the lack of posters saying, "I have an extra, pm me for it."

FWIW, i switched from ATT a few years ago to Tmobile with great results, with the free international service being my favorite aspect. I will be going to ONE plan today or tomorrow for my wife and i that pay ~$94.xx for current plan with 2gb data. And since we stay under 2gb, I'm hoping that we end up at $80 per month, more than half of what we were paying ATT on individual plans.

  1. I generated a phone number (google voice) on a new google account.
  2. Set my voicemail pin (required to port)
  3. Paid google $3 to unlock the number to be ported.
  4. Called the closest Tmobile store, girl who answered had a 20% code available told me to come in.
  5. Came in, got the code, placed in an application on the promotion website with my google voice number
  6. provided my google voice number and voicemail pin to the tmobile rep, she processed the all in 1 account (2 lines) and ported my phone number on line 1 and created a new line for line 2.
  7. Paid $125 deposit (even with my >760 credit score) and $40 in sim cards.
  8. Got home, number is ported successfully. Checked the Promotion tracker using the tracking ID I got and it says approved. I guess I'll be seeing the lifetime discount within a cycle or two.
  9. Went on the tmobile promotion site again and did promotion 17SWITCHER and will get $150 for porting my number

Me and the wife switched yesterday. I had AT&T with the grandfathered unlimited plan which I was holding onto at all costs ... until they recently keep bumping up the cost $5 the last two years. With discounts I'm paying $90 a month just for my phone. The wife was on Straight Talk which was very impressive for a little over $50 a month after tax and fees but she only got 5GB of LTE data. Altogether we are saving $60 a month for switching both lines to T-Mobile and getting another $150 each line we switched over. So far the service is tolerable but no where near the AT&T speeds on LTE. I'm talking really slow and we're not in the boonies or anything. I called T-Mobile and spoke to someone and they said that they are doing "modernization" on their nearby towers to compensate for the fact that they are now doing the unlimited and people will be overloading the towers and they want to be able to handle it. Not sure if that's just a load of BS but I depend on my phone to do my job and I'll be very disappointed if this is what T-Mobile really is.

I was told the codes were only good through this weekend?

Did my rep pull a fast one on me (I was switching, anyway), or are people just grasping at dead straws?

Were you eligible for the $150 per line promo when porting in from Google voice?

No, they are employee only codes. That rep either didn't want to share or had already given it out to five people/accounts. Not just for the weekend.

I don't see anything on the status tracker regarding the 20% off. Only the $150 rebate
I did get a text confirmation though about the hookup program and 20% off so I assume I'm good.

Put in the tracking number, using the other lookup methods don't work

OscarV very nicely gave me a code and I signed up with a google voice number. Will I be able to tell if it is a good code before i go in and actually sign up? And if so, how long does it take? I went to the status page and it just says "received, may take 8 weeks to show on your account".

to clarify this code is for a new account, not line? I added a line to our old select choice which I am holding on to because of the $10 international calling plan. I'm capped at 5 lines and existing data, which is 2 lines unlimited and 3 with 3gb.

I don't know if you HAVE to do it before or after, you can check the status of the code without using it (how many redemptions left) on the promotions page

How would you check that? It asks for tmobile number and pin on the promotion page, which I don't have yet. https://promotions.t-mobile.com/
