That said, the 14-Cup DFP-14BCNY is on sale for $199 on Amazon right now: https://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-...01AXM4WV2/
While larger, and more expensive, this really is the model to get. It's venerated in much the same way the Vitamix 5200 is.

How does the 14 cup one you listed compare to the 13 cup one currently on sale for $120 at Costco?
I bought a refurbished one years ago. The base was refurbished and all attachments/bowel/pieces were new. We use it weekly. When you make fresh foods instead of canned and boxed goods, you use them quite a bit.

Does the one in OP have the same kind of functionality/features?
I was trying to check what all accessories this comes with and what all it can do but could not find this version FP-2GM in the Cuisinart website..
The one I linked is a larger, simpler design with less moving parts. It's also built with an older design that I expect to last a lot longer.
Their new motor design seems to have a plastic, toothed mating surface that I do not expect to last in the same way the old design does.
The motor also seems to be a lot smaller and lighter.
I encourage you to look at them both, compare the weight and any images you can find of the motor.
I haven't cracked the core series open but it seems cheap.
Should I return and get this instead?
The one from costco goes bad. At least you can return it when it dies.
Do I need to keep the box?
