I'm about ready for bed, it's been a very bus week at work. I suppose the last week of the fiscal year can be that way.

it rained for maybe four minutes Tuesday evening last week in downtown Austin, hardly enough to make my balcony railing wet. another storm blew by Wednesday, but didn't rain in downtown at all. i do think there was more rain west of us, though, which is good, since that's where the important reservoirs are.
I'm not even sure what I'm doing next week, or thinking about halloween, let alone even contemplating Christmas shopping
I can't believe how quickly this weekend has flown by. definitely way too fast. Monday is going to be rough. at least it was a great Wisconsin sports weekend, play off wins by the Brewers and continued beat downs and great wins by the Badgers and the Packers
I thought this was a very interesting video and while they're talking about controlling Oregon Juniper, the same could apply to the cedar and mesquite of Texas, especially in West Texas. When white settlers moved in we started suppressing the fires, which used to keep these water sucking trees under control. The improvement in water absorption and water flow in the areas where the juniper was cut back or burned out is very dramatic.

And with that, I'm headed to bed. Night ML.
