Editor's Notes & Price Research

Written by
  • Sales tax on full device price due at checkout today. Savings are deducted off the full total price of the device and are reflected in reduced monthly payments over the life of the device. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on device becomes due. Restocking fee & other charges may apply.

Tax will be charged on the full retail price of the phone ($672) even though only $288 is on the DPP.
This is not a quick flip, you can't pay it off for 2 weeks.

Note that Best Buy's website is known for causing issues with ordering phones and DPP with Verizon. If possible, do this in store instead where you can make sure it is activated and works for you immediately. Even the BB CSRs have said the website isn't good for ordering phones.

before this fallacy gets repeated again.. verizon phones are gsm unlocked for 2g/3g only. all of them lack band 17 which is a primary at&t band for 4g/ lte.

Those customers Upgrading with a 2-Yr contract who have an Unlimited Data package will be enrolled in the Verizon 2GB Data Plan for that line for $30/month. If you complete this transaction, Unlimited Data cannot be returned to your line of service.

For those looking to use as ATT phone, 4G bands are not fully compatible. This Verizon model supports only 3 of 4 LTE bands B30 (2300 WCS). So expect poor reception to 4g signals on ATT.

Looks like compatible with T-Mobile (except one band - UMTS - B4).

Haven't tried to pay the balance up front at best buy but Verizon hasn't given me any issue with early pay-off.

This is not the Verizon's crappy bill credit. The monthly payment is the price u see. U can pay off early at Verizon if need/want to.

You can pay it off. It's not a bill credit situation.

Are you sure? if that's the case then why they are charging tax on full price? usually tax is always charged on the financed amount. Need confirmation

Actually, usually they charge tax on the total original retail.
