Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Possible. Thats scary since you mentioned it. All my numbers at ring.to are disposable. So I dont really care. They were from Verizon deals 1 or 2 years ago (trade in any smart phone get $300 gc deal)

Its better to pay $13 for the sim and do it online. This way you dont have to talk to a human and waste 45 minutes of your time.
completely agree but i think others who have tried porting a google voice number had been forced to call in even though they tried online first.

Posting to inform, not brag, but I had a very easy time taking advantage of this program. Super excited to reap my low phone bills!!
Me: 2 Iphone 6s's from Verizon
- Ordered SIMs on Wed 6/14 at night via website (had no issues with eligibility or credit check).
- SIMs came Friday to my house while at work.
- Did online activation - the instructions said to wait 10 minutes before changing SIM's and I did (from start to finish porting and having coverage took 15-20 mins max).

Since porting my coverage is about the same as it was before with Verizon - I'm in a mid-size town in mid-Michigan.

I also applied for the credit union promo - hope to see some $ in 8 weeks... holding breath.

The only two differences I have seen:
- Can't surf while on phone like I could with Verizon (really no biggie)
- I had to set up my voicemail - lost all of my voicemail that I thought was saved on my phone.
No issues on either of the above 2 items, just commenting.

Which cell provider did you move from?
Ultra mobile. Just finished online porting an hour ago, everything worked 10 minutes after I hit submit. Signed up for Sprint account management and confirmed free plan. I guess the last thing is to wait for the bill to see what fees and taxes will be in NYC.

I have older phones not on the BYOD list and they told me they could port them over it would just take longer. It's been 2 days and no call back. They said they'd call in 2 days. fingers crossed this works.

My phone passed Sprint check, can I use freedom pop phone number to port in. If both are good to go ? Which is easier to port in, Freedom pop or Google voice? Thanks and Tia.

GV is easier to get port out information. If your FP account doesn't show port out information you need to call FP and if you don't have premium addon you will not be connected to a CSR.

I am using Freedompop, port out info is all in one nice page, login at my.freedompop.com and click settings then port out info. Mine was AT&T LTE Sim based Freedompop, so I told them my carrier is AT&T, not sure if it will be better or anything compared to Google Voice. .... I bought SIM @ 3$ from PureTalk, (https://www.puretalkusa.com) it will have 1 month free service. I will port that number if possible and say my carrier is T-Mobile ... cause when I check my mother's METROPCS number @ https://www.twilio.com/lookup .... it shows up as T-Mobile USA :-)

Had to go into a Sprint store and get a new SIM card, as the one they gave me was not working properly. It kept saying "The SIM card has locked" and the radio would shut off after about 5-10 minutes.

But now all seems to be working.
