Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

its also CDMA using Sprint network. I guess this means you were on the GSM side which explains why you could port out from FP.

Could be, I didn't know they had CDMA. I was just the free plan that you pay 1 dollar for one front page that I ported out. You can also do Google Voice, which you just pay 3 dollars to port out.

Any signs indicating if lines added to the account after the 6/30 deadline will also be free until 7/31/18?

Now is not the best time but I would consider getting 1 line on a free account if I could add to it after 6/30 and still be free until 7/31/18

Could you please give me a lil more detail on this? I'm getting a new unlocked Samsung S8. I use a postpaid sim from ultra but I think porting from Ultra network is not eligible. So I can just buy a $10 t-mobile sim that come preloaded with 30 minutes/30 texts and get the tmobile account activated and then change to Sprint to get this deal?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Ported from Ultra online without any problems. Make sure you get account number from Ultra and PIN is your last 4 phone digits.

Ultra uses T-Mobile network, so I think you are eligible.

For those that got put on the wrong plan have a rep get your plan "overridden" by a supervisor to the right plan. The change isn't a immediate it takes about 3 days.

Highly recommend NOT using the online activation/porting. Waited over 20 hours and it hadn't even started initiating the port among other issues (although Sprint's website and online chat claimed it was "in progress"). Finally called and quickly did the port over the phone and was activated within minutes.

Speedtest showing 6.19Mbps down and 2.81 upload from inside my apartment which is acceptable I guess. I was on Project Fi recently so have some idea what to expect from Sprint.

Just signed up for this offer. Whole process took 30 mins,

Had an unlocked iPhone 7 that showed eligible for promotion. Called 866 number and the rep knew exactly what the offer is. She waived the activation fee and I had free sprint sims lying from previous deal. I provided my account number and PIN from ULTRA mobile. When she processed the order for activation the number was ported in few secs and my iPhone 7 is now activated with my number on sprint.

I confirmed by logging into online account and it shows as Free 1 year BYOD plan, free with $5 auto pay discount till 7/31/18. So far all looks good.

I hate to give you guidance as I haven't yet executed my plan successfully. This is what I came to after a lot of questions and research. You have to port a line into them to get this. It cannot be an existing Sprint or Sprint based MVNO, it has to be Verizon, T-Mobile, ATT or one of their based MVNO's. So I ordered my phones from Amazon that are unlocked on all carriers, I'm going to active them with a T-mobile pay as you go sim. Once they work I'm going to start the actual order with Sprint. I got the Moto G4 Play model of phones for my kids. Might look around, seems some have trouble getting the S8 Unlocked model to work on Sprint but I could be wrong, seems I've seen others with that phone during my research but didn't pay close attention since I'm not buying my kids a $600 phone.

Anyone that is paying activation is getting screwed.

If they pretend they're helping you out but waiving it somehow that is NOT the case. Look at the Sprint site, it's the 4th checkbox down "No annual contracts, no activation fees - a $30 savings!"

I walked into Best Buy, head straight to Mobile department, and simply ask to buy a Sprint SIM; rep asked what phone I have and I said iPhone 6S Plus; took about 5 minutes and cost $5.42 instead of waiting for few days for Sprint to ship at a cost of $14.

The SIM I got is a SPRINT iPhone specific SIM part number SIMGLW436C, which is apparently the same SIM you can get for free from the Apple Store. I don't think you can order this online from Best Buy and I'm not sure what the Best Buy product number is. The rep just got the SIM from a cabinet, it's not displayed on a rack for sale.
Did you call Sprint to activate the SIM card?
