Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Sorry, they're both Verizon.

I chatted with Sprint and here's what they said:

You: So a Droid Turbo and Samsung Note 5 are out of the question?
Jessica: Yes, that's right.

I'll go to the store and see what they tell me.
I don't think DT will work however Note 5's IMEI can be added to their list. I previously did.

No it is not. It is based on something else.

Personally had a great experience setting up a single line port from Verizon postpaid through telesales (Verizon iPhone 6s).

Only thing - my icon reads LTE, but speeds are incredibly slow. Anywhere from 1.5 Mb/s - 5.5 Mb/s down and 0.5 Mb/s - 1.3 Mb/s up. Getting two to three "bars" though I live maybe a four to five minute drive from the nearest Sprint tower and coverage map shows best service available. Also know folks who use Sprint and have never reported data that slow in this immediate area.

Checked APN/Profiles, did the ##UPDATE# method, did the "Reset Network Settings" option under Settings -> General, applied the carrier update prompt... all to no avail. Voice, SMS, MMS and data all working... just not pulling down LTE speeds.

Would anyone know if there's anything else at all I may have overlooked before I plug this thing into iTunes and take the full wipe plunge? I won't be restoring from a backup, going to start over with a clean install. I've had to do this on a Verizon 5s once when I switched it between two carriers and that fixed it... just hoping to avoid the extra setup time trying to see if that fixes the LTE signal. Thanks in advance!

I am having the exact same issue. My phone was bought unlocked from ATT. I had it on ATT, RingPlus and recently on H2O. I switched to this plan on 6/19 and haven't had LTE since (even 3g is spotty). I spent 3 days with Sprint on the phone or in the store. They are CLUELESS. Did many things (many times), including ##UPDATE#, network reset, phone reset, swapping SIM. All useless. My next step is to call Apple.
Where did you get your phone? What model? Let me know if you resolve this issue.

frontyMy billing cycle with att ends on the 26th and the promotion is through the 30th. I have 4 lines on my att account. One of the phones is not eligible. I'm in the process of locating another phone.

Can I just add the three lines now and then the 4th line in a few days? I may not end up porting the last line. Also, would I be able to add my brothers line (separate att account to my account?
Hello,

Verizon Droid Turbo and Samsung Note 5 are not eligible devices to sign up for this plan. I think you will waste your time by going to Sprint store. If you have Nexus phones, Pixel phones or other unlocked newer Samsung, they will work.

Yes, you can add your brother's AT&T line to your free plan after you are enrolled.

Yes, I signed up for this plan. I am getting .19 download and .10 upload. What a joke! I purchased my phone unlocked from ATT. It worked great on H2O Wireless (ATT MVNO). Is this the issue with Sprint or iPhone? I know that the ATT version of this phone has one more frequency than the one made for Sprint. I spent last 3 days talking to Sprint. Useless!

PLEASE HELP!
Which model of iPhone do you have? If you have it on Ringplus before that should no way your speed is lower than what you have than Ringplus since you are pretty much using the same tower.

And dont start blaming everyone else so quick, it a hardware device, so there always a possibility of hardware issue!

That should work without problem, I think you might want to visit Apple Store and see whether it a hardware issue.

I was able to successfully port in my number from MetroPCS (T-Mobile) and use a Nexus 6p that I bought from Newegg.com. All I had to do was basically treat my phone number as a T-Mobile number port and give Sprint the MetroPCS account number & PIN. Sprint seems to prefer the MEID number, which is just the IMEI number without the last 0 on the Nexus 6p.

Activation wasn't a smooth process, but it wasn't horrendous. I went to activate the SIM kit online last night and it would say that activation was a success on their website, even though it really didn't fully activate. I called Sprint's tech support, but they wouldn't help me because they couldn't find my account since I wasn't fully activated. I spoke to three different reps that told me that I had to go to a Sprint Store to get this finished/fixed, which was going to have to wait until my lunch break the next day (Sprint stores don't open until 10 AM). I ended up calling 866-782-8777 and they were able to finish activation and the porting of my number. That all took about 30 minutes and I had everything working.

For all the hiccups I went through, it seems to have been worth it. I've been streaming videos today with only a few occasional hiccups. Calling/texting seems to be working well for me. I'm in the DC Metro area and I'm seeing anywhere from 2-20 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload on LTE. However, I'm seeing way higher download/upload speeds when using different Speed Test apps/websites though. I suspect that there's something funky with SpeedTest.net and Sprint. Anyways, I hope this helps!

Speedtest.net is trash. They don't check for optimized servers, and you typically have to manually change it yourself and try out several until you get a *general* idea of your actual speeds. There's better alternatives.

I have a Moto X Pure that I bought for Ring+, and now on mintsim. My IMEI + # fails. I called and the dude said it's an online only plan that no one there can help me. Call back? Ask for a supervisor?

Yes, if you called 1-866-782-8777 then call back. They will activate the free plan if you have a qualifying device. Sometimes the devices show up as ineligible and a Click-it Ticket needs to be filed to change the ownership code of the IMEI. If that needs to be done it will take a few hours for that to first be processed before the plan can be set up.
