Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Apparently, Sprint devices are getting auto-unlocked for both domestic and international use if you paid off full installment and then if you ported out the line and bring this device under BYOD free plan. My device is unlocked even without requesting them. It's cool.

I don't know what is going on. It could be your IMEI is temporarily tied to another account due to typo or administrative error, which will be fixed once the error is corrected. If the IMEI is cloned onto another device by someone else, it's probably much faster to change/repair the IMEI on your phone than ask Sprint for help because I am not sure if Sprint will help you but only Sprint has the ability to deactivate that cloned phone so that you can use your phone again. To change/repair the IMEI on your phone, you would need EFS Professional and QPST. You have to google for detailed instructions as SD does not allow me to post them here.

I have the feeling that the selling/merging of Sprint is near. They don't care about network performance now as the number of subscribers speaks volumes if they were to sell/merge.
wow, I wonder if someone at sprint has been working on this. Swappa no longer shows the IMEI as being active! It was yesterday that I called in and they said they couldnt help me but the last person I spoke to said she would look into it further which to me meant please go away.

I was planning to sell the phone but I might just activate it until that happens to make sure no one takes my IMEI again.

I don't know the exact reason. If it's a typo or administrative error that causes the IMEI to tie to another account, it should be an easy fix for Sprint. If the phone is cloned, they probably will ask for proof of device ownership, etc., and it may take some time to resolve if they have to verify the original device ID, chip/modem ID, MAC address, and IMEI from the LG database. Another possible reason is someone uses your IMEI as dummy IMEI. If they said they would look into it, I would give them the chance to do so before doing IMEI repair. Keep us posted what happens. Hope it can be resolved sooner than later. Good luck Big Grin

Damn! Pick up and tell them we need more Sprint cell towers. Don't hang up until they agree with you Big Grin

ADDED: Need excellent signal inside building too. No penetration, no happy ending. Make Sprint great again!

I'm just paranoid that they're going to get me after switching from a prepaid. I also had some issues where they ran my credit check twice, then one rep attempted to say that two people are trying open accounts in my name before my account was activated.

Maybe you would hate the site less if you stopped looking into peoples questions. Go drink a beer.

It's interesting how some of us end up on the same threads. I remember your name from the RingPlus, Tello, and now the Sprint thread. I might have even seen you on the Republic Wireless thread. We must have phone service addictions.

Go to activate device. Choose the old phone you want to deactivate. Then enter new phone imei and SIM card number or use same sim.

These are the instructions but it's never worked for me. Always have to call/chat to swap.

Is there a credit check involved with this madness?
Yes, there is. Sadly, makes it a no go for myself.

From Spring website:
You're qualified to switch to Sprint and get free unlimited service! To set up your account, we still need to run your credit - a policy for all our customers.
Try anyhow?? Maybe they just want a deposit.
