I was trying to sign up for a new plan to take advantage of the Best Buy deal.
I've read your posts and others but apparently Best Buy said the system won't allow me to add a new plan. I obviously can't add a new line to the BYOP since it doesn't meet the criteria.
I chatted with CSR regarding the new/separate plan and I was told I can't add a new plan because my current BYOP plan is highly discounted.
Currently have 2 grandfathered ULD Verizon plans and need to add a new line for my son. I just purchased the Iphone SE from the other SD Best Buy deal. The question is what's the best way to get the Iphone SE on this Sprint deal then switch it to Verizon later to get the $200 Bring back to Verizon promo?

From what I've read, you want to put a Verizon postpaid SIM card in the Verizon prepaid iPhone before turning it on for the first time. That permanently unlocks it for all carriers.
Either order a SIM card from Sprint or pick one up for free from your local Apple store.
You'll also need a number to port into Sprint for this offer, most people found Google Voice to be least costly, but perhaps you'd like to start the service on Verizon postpaid and port it out. Good luck!
People need to do better research before they purchase phone. When I got my Nexus 5X I make sure it is the H790 version and due to lack of availability of that version, I bought it at swappa for $200 and sold it 6 months later for $215
I have not been able to get a straight answer from sprint...
I am on a family plan, contract over. Can I sign up for a new line in my name and port my existing number over to it and still get this deal (I don't want to lose my current #)?
Also, I have a sprint LG G4. Can I use that or do I have to buy a phone on the list, then switch to the G4 once everything is set up?
Thank you!
Family plan on which carrier?
Thank you for your help and detailed responses!

BTW, what is the best reason should I tell Sprint's tech support...for changing the MVNO flag of my Moto-E (2nd Gen) to SPCS?
I'll keep trying...wishing me all the lucks !!!
It's more like you found someone who didn't know that the S8 was NOT included in the promo!

I signed up with my unlocked s8 2 weeks ago using sim sent to me from samsung no problem at all, and multiple people is using s8 from this thread why are you giving out false info? Do you even own a s8??
If you own an unlocked S8 it should be one the easiest device to sign on to this plan
People need to STOP giving out false info about plan/device/issue, since most people only read the last few page of the thread and dont use search to find info..if you give out false info it just make new comer who want to sign the deal ask more unnecessary questions

should be noted, however, that the Nexus 5X being sold is the international H791 model of the smartphone, which is of the GSM variant. This means that the smartphone will work with all of the LTE bands of AT&T and two out of the three main LTE bands of T-Mobile, but it would not work with Sprint or Verizon.

1. Got free sprint sim card at apple store
2. Got account number and password for transfer from previous carrier and phone imei
3. Called number from wiki.
4. While on call you have to spell everything to rep: name, surname, address, ssn, imei, sim icc, email, security questions. Be prepared
5. Rep told me that I can add lines to this plan, just need to call them.
6. Rep offered phone protection - declined
7. Rep offered free android tablet with $15/per month per line - declined
8. Rep didn't set up autopay, however asked cc info. Had to setup it later on sprint website.
After around 5 min after call old sim showed no service, inserted sprint sim and everything worked, got lte.
Side question about bestbuy offer.
I tried to add iphone se 64gb for 4.99/month to bestbuy cart, selected add as new line. It showed my plan as LTE Provisioning w/Hotspot $0.00/mo.
Question is will it be added as new line to 1st year free plan or it will get some new plan?
