Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I am getting a phone next week for this deal. I will put it on Verizon Wireless for a few days, then sign up for this Sprint 1 year free deal.

Two Questions.

(1) Can I buy a SIM Card now from a Sprint store and register it with this deal after getting the new phone & putting it on Verizon Wireless to save the time for Sprint to ship a SIM card to me after I am on Verizon Wireless?

(2) Must the Verizon Wireless number be ported into Sprint? Or will Sprint just give a new number when signing up for this deal & its OK just to use that number?
Quote from hongri :
1. Yes, you can buy sim ahead, but you need to call in to sign up
2. You have to port in, but you can change the numbe rafter port in
When I added a line to the free plan, one of the csrs read terms and conditions say cannot change number for 120 days. Now I don't know if she meant cannot upgrade for 120 days but that's what she said and I asked her to clarify and she confirmed it.

yes thats correct first paid off balance on existing DPP when upgrading line to another SE thru BB ..
second one paid off through sprint phone number 888-211-4727 automated choices and went to device installments pay in full option..

yes even it is showing both credits to adjustments and charges section of my bill page in my sprint account online..

edit: can you now think what could have happened or did they flag my account or imei for some reason...
Did you verify if the line is upgrade eligible? If it is then you had paid off the phone. I think it takes a day or two after payoff to clear FED.

I thought it was eligible when BB allowed it... but now when i go to my account then it shows upgrade eligibility in 2019... what the heck...may be third phone is not allowed.. but how do i verify if first two were already paid off as i already paid 4 days and 2 days ago for both..
if it takes 1-2 days to clear FED then how are people getting it unlocked on the same day after paying off same day.. thats confusing

It may take until the billing cycle renews on that account for the financing agreement to show as cleared. I would call Sprint back and ask for a supervisor and see if there is anything they can do to mark the financing agreements as paid in the system since the charges are showing up on your credit card already.

You also can ask on the sprint subreddit to see if they have any ideas.
thanks.. let me check.. i cannot wait till billing cycle as i may close this line... and keep just free year line....

Maybe immediate on sprint side but takes a day or two to reflect on TING Boyd checker for FED?

Anyway, I check my app view bill and look at recent payments and charges. My dpp payments were listed as "immediate charges accrued". I think that is for paying off dpp they make the charges show up immediately on account to pay off.

yes... strange thing was it was showing eligible on Ting before i activated on sprint line.. after that it started showing unpaid balance error...

yes it already shows both dpp payments as "immediate charges accrued" under adjustments and charges section of view bill page and were appearing same day when i paid payments..

There is the rule for $120 no upgrade, I personally have heard any no number change policy.

No...it includes the global roaming. You'll just have to use 2G...

My IMEI wasn't passing the eligibility test last night after I ported from Sprint to Ting for the iPhone SE deal. Do I need to port out from Ting to say T-Mobile/H20? Or is it a wait 24 hour thing?
Ting uses the Sprint network. Can't come from there.

That sounds like you did a 2 year contract subsidized phone.
