Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I just sorted it out. You need to talk to the customer care. Only 50% of the people know this process,so if someone says it can't be done, say thanks and hang up. Call again to speak to a different person. Just tell them that You have an unlocked s8 (make sure your s8 is unlocked by using an at t sim) and want to get the 1year sprint offer. they will ship you a sim card specific to Samsung galaxy s8. Or you can visit the store to get the sim for s8. S8's sim can't be used in any Other phone. If you are getting it from the store, ask him not to activate it. Call up the customer care, tell them you want to avail the 1year offer, and you have s8's sim. They will guide you through the process. P.s I have just ordered the sim. I would receive it by tomorrow. I 'll keep posted about how it went. Thanks
I tried my best to search this thread but A LOT of content here. So i bought an S8+ unlocked on the samsung.com deals, and was about to activate on verizon when I saw this thread (finally upgrading from an s4!!!). Do i need to first activate my phone on verizon's network (called and they said just go to verizon store and they will give me a SIM for S8+) or do i just activate directly by acquiring a Sprint SIM? Also, what is the "safest" method to get the Sprint SIM - store, online, call? I saw in the wiki there could be pitfalls to getting SIM other than online and I dont mind pay the $10 or so to get one shipped to me.

As a sidebar, I was intended to stay on Verizon cuz i picked up a Gizmopal thing for the kid (i think that specific device works on verizon) but if I goto Sprint I dont think there is a comparable option - thoughts?

Where did you buy the Verizon postpaid sim?
My primary phone is on a Verizon family account. My new Sprint line is a number that I use for work. Just took the sim from my iPhone 7 and put it in the iPhone SE

Is it free for 12 months from date of activation or its free till 07/31/18 ? Though it says free service till 07/31, offer also mentions its one year service. So I'm confused.

Yeah. Their MVNO flag is set to "PLBL" right now, likely. Sprint will only activate them if they're set to "SPCS". We do it automatically when a device goes inactive, but devices fall through our robot's fingers all the time for all kinds of reasons. PM me on Reddit with the IMEI and I'll see if I can flip the flag over for you so you can try again. I'm /u/LiterallyUnlimited.

Thanks for the quick reply. I will PM you on Reddit with all the IMEI's when I am ready to swap the phones. Repped.

Hello, I am already in free service with Sprint. I am happy with Sprint service so far but for a lot of reasons I am not happy with Moto phone. Does anyway can I keep the free service when I return the phone? can I ask Sprint directly or I just can buy any new phone and remove sim from Moto and put in the new phone? Does anyone recommend what simple cheap phone with nano sim qualify for this Sprint service? Thanks

What Moto are you using? You have to do a Sim swap, but many people are having trouble doing it correctly. Some reports of plan changing when swapping phones.

Hi, can you link or maybe tell me what page/post I can look to see swap causing Plan Changes?

I asked Sprint.com/chat and told me I need to temporarily swap cause i broke my iPhone 5c screen (and send to repairs) to iPhone 5, they said sure no problem and plan won't change, (but I didn't swap cause I was thinking I will lose free plan)

Thanks

You can change devices, but you need a replacement device with the right Sim. I'm just saying that it's possible during the swap process you might lose your free plan. Make sure that doesn't happen.
