Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

You can't do upgrade via ur sprint byod 1 year plan for a few more months. Its in the terms. I can only assume the other guy getting it had a non byod plan that he upgraded
Wish the other guy made this clear. Also, highly unethical Best Buy/Crossgates Mall in Albany, NY. Some manager pulled up the $2.49 offer and said I could get it. Then handed me off to someone else to complete the purchase. DID NOT TELL ME THE PRICE WAS $6.05/MONTH WITH NO $90 GIFT CARD UNTIL AFTER CREDIT PULL. I didn't swipe my card to pay for the phone (sales tax), and yet my Sprint account shows a Device Agreement and the new Phone number. This is a disgusting Bait and Switch. You would think that they would tell me upgrade and new line are different prices, without me having to ask. The installment price doesn't even appear anywhere on the screen where you swipe your credit card. And then at the end, I asked for written proof that the line was cancelled or bettter yet, never even created. The stupid BB employee wrote "Line cancelled" in pen on a document, which when I went home and read said If customer is performing a return and wants to terminate service that I have to call the carrier. How is it a return when I never purchased, never swiped my card? I didn't want to be on hold with Sprint, so I ported out to H2O. Hope this ends this terrible saga. Don't ever go to the Best Buy in Albany, NY. Cheaters.

Thanks for the suggestion, that worked. Slickdeals rocks!!! :-)

Just a little more FYI in case anyone else is in a similar situation. I originally had a boost mobile iphone se from a slickdeal a while back and got it unlocked using unlock4less and was using it on TMO. I knew that phone probably wouldn't work for this, I checked with sprint and confirmed it doesn't, so I picked up a moto e4 which is working good for me - it's only been 20 minutes on the new service so far, but Sprint coverage at my house is better than TMO so I'm stoked!
Sweet! Glad it worked out. You can also check your account and usage with the MySprint app.

Ok so to recap:

1. I purchased an unlocked Moto E4 from BestBuy, pricematched to Amazon [amazon.com] for $99.99 + tax.
2. I purchased a SIM Card SIMGLW416Q from Twigby using this link [twigby.com] and selecting LG V20 as per ECartman's suggestion. $2.99 + tax.
3. I set up a Google Voice number, using a real phone (non MVNO) and then followed the guide to unlock the phone for $3.00.
4. I set a voicemail pin on the Legacy Google Voice page, to prepare for porting.
5. When SIM Card arrives, I will call the port in phone number, and attempt to port in and get free account for 1 year.
Nice job and wiki worthy. Be sure to call the promo number to set up your account. Use the porting dept number only if it doesn't go through in a reasonable amount of time.

Hello all,

Looking for some guidance, I have spent hours reading through threads only to get more confused

I have 1) unlocked nexus 6 2) appropriate sim kit ordered online from sprint 3) have unlocked google voice number with voice pin

What should be my next step now.

Am I correct to think next step to call 866-782-8777 (promo number) ask them to activate 1 year byod on sprint card I got w/ port in from google voice number

Do I need to first put sim card in nexus 6 and have it up and running before calling the number?

Thank you so much

Did you use TMobile Prepaid sim card kits? Do you know of a good source for the sim card kits? I used my last three on this Sprint deal so I need to reload.
I bought some unactivated SIMs on eBay for $3 or $4 each. They weren't the prepaid sim kits, but they worked fine for activating new lines by calling in. They won't work on the automated activation line, though. You have to talk to someone to activate them.

How did you do an upgrade? I have 4 active lines on Unlimited 1 year free - BYOD, but all say not eligible for an upgrade until around 6/19. And I don't understand why they aren't upgrade eligible, since they are my devices and fully paid for. I'm also pretty furious that BB did a credit check on me despite the fact that I am approved for 5 lines, and I didn't end up getting the J3 because they told me that the $6.50/mo. price would only be credited back over 24 months meaning that if I left Sprint earlier than 2 years I would not continue to receive credits and therefore the price would be at least $78 + $11 tax and no $90 BB Gift Card. So I would like to know how I can do an upgrade, how you did an upgrade (I tried on BB website but also got not eligible for an upgrade).
Sorry about your ordeal but I upgrade on a paid plan you can't upgrade on the free plan. There are no upgrades on the free plan for 120 days.

The other thread I created specifically mentions the price is for upgrades only. It was never intended to be used for the free plan.

You can activate online at sprint.com/activatenow if you ordered the sims through the special offer site since you already provided all the info and performed credit check.

You can also call in the special promo number if you prefer.

Interesting. Did you need to add funds to each line when calling in?

Has anyone here gotten a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge to work? Mine won't pass the checker even though it's a sprint phone.

So your s7 edge passed the checker without any problems? Mine, an SM-G935P sprint phone shows ineligible, but the unlocked version works fine?

There are so many posts here about swapping phones, removing flags, buying SIM cards from somewhere other than Sprint it may be discouraging for some that are thinking about making the switch. Only a few more days left!

Can't figure out search within thread, but I'm assuming this isn't good if your device is AT&T iPhone 6...my understanding is that model is GSM only...
