Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I was able to port in a Verizon iPhone 6s with no issue but when I tried to swap my Moto X Pure (different line) with a different Verizon iPhone 6s it would not let me do it online. Can they do it via chat?

Question: Once a phone is whitelisted will it remain that way from here on out even of it is deactivated and activated on a different line later on down the road?

yes for swap if sim is compatible (boyd universal sim would work), can do on chat

yes you can swap it back and forth if you want, just hassle of pairing imei and sim

how likely is it that i will need to go down that route for whitelist? outlier and rare or fairly common? and if i need to go down that route is it quick for sprint to do? kinda running against time for the byod!
I have done two Sprint deals earlier this year, one shipped to home and one I did in store (actually bought in store, not just a pick up). I got the phone home unopened in both cases and activated with VZ SIM. In both cases the phones were already added to my Sprint account and operational when I put the Sprint SIM in after the VZ SIM. So I don't think you need to worry.

Worst case, if you have to whitelist, just go back to the Sprint BYOD offer page and pretend to sign up with that phone's IMEI and any non Sprint phone number and go through the first 2 steps till you have to enter in contact information. I am finding that completing those first two steps whitelists the device (if eligible of course) and it becomes available through the online portal when you go to swap the device.

Anybody have the Tmobile $30 5gb plan and left it for this? You do realize they cancelled that plan a few months ago so you were grandfathered in. You can't get back in a year from now. Just saying because I debated it for weeks.
I did. I'm sure there will be some other promotions come up in a year.

thanks - gonna give a shot tonight and see how it goes.

also, per the highlight approach above, i was curious and checked my wife's 6s+ which is currently on sprint through a post paid plan and entered her IMEI and a non sprint number on the BYOD page and it says it was ineligible. I know for certain the number is fine so is it bc she is currently on sprint that it came back that way? I plan to port the 6s+ and her number tomorrow then bring them back on BYOD - hoping the above isnt a indicator it wont work...

sprint phone on active sprint line is automatically ineligible. Once you deactivate the line or port out it should be eligible.

do you have a spare sprint phone to swap out the 6s+ to test before you port out?

If it's already on Sprint it's already whitelisted. You can switch on service to it as long as it is not already active on another account. So you will need to deactivate and remove from the other account and then reactivate on the BYOD account. It may have come back as ineligible because of that (already active on another account).

wife's old 4s? i think you are suggesting going into the acct and deactivating the 6s+ and activating the 4s. once done, i recheck the 6s+ on the BYOD site to see if eligible?

yes, takes a little work but to confirm that it will work (I'm pretty sure it will).

You can then switch it back.

The only thing that kept me from leaving the Tmobile $30 was you get Hotspot (included as part of your 5gig allowance). None of the other no-contract plans from Cricket, Att, Tmobile offer that with out an extra charge. Att $40 6gb unlimited talk seems like the next best thing. I guess I'll cross that bridge a year from now.

I've a question about referral, I looked thru tens of threads but haven't got the answer.

I signed up using a referral link, and opened my own account of one line. What if I refer and add my friend with at&t to my second line? Will my friend and I get $50 each ($100 in total)?
Thank you in advance.

No that is self referral. Your friend needs to open his own account then you and him might get $50 each.

You will get $50 only if you opened 2nd line within 7 days of account opening, your friend gets $0.
