Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Purchased Sprint universal sim on ebay for $7. Spoke with customer service rep for almost 50 minutes via 866-782-8777. Successfully ported over from T-mobile prepaid $30 (5gb 100 minute plan) during that phone call. I lied and said it was a postpaid plan because I thought only postpaid plans were eligible, but the port went through. T-mobile prepaid account number is 1+(phone number incl area code) and you can reset that pin if you forgot.

Lady on the phone asked for all my info, including name, address, full SSN (not just the last 4 digits), DOB, driver's license info. Received an email titled "Your Phone is Activated or-trtm-XXXXXXXX," Also enrolled in e-bill pay and gave out my credit card info.

A lot of work but all in all took less than an hour for free 1-year plan. Hopefully if Sprint service is good in my area, it will be $360 in savings Smilie

Awesome, just to add to your experience though, while the person will ask for everything, you only need to provide them what your current provider knows. For most prepaids, it'll just be name, address, and PIN. It still worked for me when I told the lady that the provider I'm porting from won't know my dob, driver license, or SSN lol.

If you can get a hold of an eligible device from someone who has it active on another network, you can use that to get the free plan activated. Then switch to a Sprint LG phone later if you want to use an LG phone.

For instance, if you know someone with an eligible iPhone on another network you could use the iPhone IMEI to open a free line and of course you would need the right Sprint SIM. That would not disrupt their service on the other carrier. Then you could swap to the Sprint LG phone that you wanted to use but again, you would need the right Sprint SIM for the LG phone.

Kind of a hassle but IMO worth it for the free service if you really want to use an LG phone on Sprint.
Yup. This is what I did. I had a Sprint LG G3 sitting around that I used to have on Ringplus. I bought a Moto G4 Play just to activate this deal, and then called Sprint to switch it over to the LG G3. Kind of a pain at times to talk to Sprint csr's, but eventually got it all worked out.

Are any tablets listed as eligible devices?
None of the tablets listed but if you care to search to give a REAL INFORMATIVE ANSWER you can found people has reported back that they are able to add iPad to their account.

But then with your suspicious nature, you probably said that those people are lying because they didn't provide enough proof (just like the iphone SE ) worship

Yeah, I noticed that too, lol. But you know wiki says its OK for this one year free plan to get$50.

So I was wondering if there are any DPs available about adding lines and getting referral bonuses after 7days?
Some people got it ->woot

But those people (like me) register before they changed the T&C
Of course it is OK to try, just don't get your hope too high

you mean people... both referrer and referred even if both having only BYOD plan will get bonus if they both did it before change in T&C ?

Would love to see some proof of this. I've read pretty much this whole thread and can't remember anyone activating an iPad and keeping it on the line successfully. Maybe my memory is getting bad. Any help? Thanks!

In that case, will I be able to switch her iphone 5C back to Verizon SIM and Verizon service without affecting her phone number or service?
Yes. You may have to restart the phone or update the network settings but you can switch back and forth (at least that was the case earlier this year).

Sprint and Verizon are both CDMA but they each use their own lists.

Thank you. Thank you for this very useful information.
Since I am using my wife's phone as placeholder (until BF? a good deal on Moto E4/G4), the ability to switch back and forth between Sprint and Verizon without affecting her service is very important ...
so I can register some 'use' on Sprint line every few weeks and not risk cancellation.

Thanks. That's what I read in some posts, weeks, not days. I'll stay on top of it and 'use' the phone every few weeks.

successfully ported wife's 6s+ and number off sprint onto my existing VZ acct. they even handed me this $200 visa gc offer i can register for porting 6s over! i wont be eligible for it since i will port her back over soon on my new byod acct but i might just apply for it and see what happens! unfortunately i may end up having to pay for her activation on my VZ acct even though they promised to wave it as it doesnt happen upfront.

now to port my phone (finally) then two more iphones. since the two iphones have been on sprint's network, can i still use the sprint SIMs from previous activation or is it advisable to go and get two new SIMs?

The old sims should work but you would need to call the special promo number

I had a quick question. If the eligible devices you are bringing over like the iPhone 6, already has a Sprint SIM from before when it was previously activated on Sprint, will you still require new SIMs to get this plan? Can the plan get activated on them?

Or does it have to be bought from the BYOD SIM card page or Best Buy?
