Wow ! 79.66mbps in State College PA ! I thought I had to makedo with 3mbps in Austin TX78749( as someone said on the post). But I discovered the speed varies widely. My Iphone6(running on band 25,26) can get up to 7mbps in places where the signal is barely 2 bars. At 2AM in the morning I get up to 12-19 mbps by my window. Anyway I am glad I ported to Spring.

You will walk 3 blocks and get 1mb or drop to 3g. That is the problem with sprint 100mbs in some areas and completely unusable in other. Most people want good coverage with avrg speeds instead of super fast speeds and terrible coverage.

Sounds like you are porting in. Which carrier? Freedompop?
Yeah trying to port in from freedompop.

Sprint keeps asking for SSN, Freedompop says no SSN necessary and if sprint is asking for it then they are doing something wrong on their end.

I got the account #, PIN, Billing address, and name on account all in writing from freedompop and sent that to sprint, yet sprint keeps coming back asking for SSN.

Just ported a FreedomPop GSM line on a Moto G4 Play with this promotion... Took 2 days but it went through.
How did you get the port to go throught? I've been trying to get sprint to port in my freedompop gsm line for over a month. They can't seem to figure it out. They keeps asking for SSN and freedompop says there is no SSN.

I gave sprint the freedompop phone #, acct # (1+phone#), PIN, Billing address, Account name that freedompop sent me in writing. Sprint keeps asking for SSN and freedompop says because they are a pre-paid service, they don't do SSN.

Worked with a dozen sprint reps and none of them could figure it out.

I guess I was really lucky, then. I ported over from Freedompop and had my phone working an hour after the phone call with the porting department. Even though Freedompop doesn't require it, Sprint did ask for the last four digits of my social. I gave it to them and the port went through. I know AT&T uses what they call a "generic" SSN for prepaid port ins. Have you tried asking Sprint if they do something similar?

Quick questions to you great helpful people.

I get my Sprint note 8 today from Samsung.
I received my BYOD sims card from sprint last week but have not activate it because I do not have an eligible device. Will my note 8 work to activate?

Also, I have a Tmobile prepaid sim card that I bought and added $10 to just for this deal. I will be using this to port over to sprint. Is the phone number the account number?
My unlocked Note 8's IMEI was "eligible" on their promo site. I have it active on the free service right now, after porting in from Freedompop.

Did you use the note 8 to activate the free service?

First, make sure you got correct pin. FP messes up with their web sites. There are two sites: www.freedompop.com (old one. account number prefix with 1) and my.freedompop.com (account # does not have 1 prefix). Sounds like you used the old site and PIN could be incorrect. If Sprint asks SSN, I used 0000, it worked fine for me.

Incorrect on number 2. You can always port in a number from Textnow .
Can you port-in # from Textnow App only? If yes, where can you find out the port-out info?
